50 hours campaign is too much

Maybe just maybe you wait a little bit longer to play the game and check out how long the campaign will actually take.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

It's not bad to discuss it but you're right we don't know for sure yet things are going to settle once people get more comfortable, I didn't learn to race through PoE1 on day one either haha.

Thinking about casual PoE1 play that doesn't even really seem that drastic by comparison if i try to think about it logically unless one is trying to rush to the endgame.

I would imagine Hardcore players might have a lower clear speed in some cases even making that seem reasonable? I'd like to hear your opinion on that as a Hardcore player.

Mh, not sure about it but I assumed it's 25 hours for 6 acts, so basically for both playthroughs, because they stated "25 hours for the whole campaign" and not for the 3 acts iirc.

The announcement was that they estimated 25 for first 3 acts.
No doubt we will learn to do it faster but a lot dislike rerunning campaign in poe1 more than the first time per league and they are gonna hate this even more after a couple of leagues

The campaign sounds to me like the highest quality content the game offers, since it includes lots of diverse boss fights, cutscenes, story and more. I appreciate that it is long and would hope for additional campaign content in future leagues: a challenge mode that is significantly harder, more story choices / paths with different outcomes, new mechanics for story bosses
i believe 50h is not the average but some kind of ceiling to tamper expectations for anyone who never touched any RPG in their entire life + completely solo + not trading

another fact is to make a parallel with poe 1, years ago we didn't have as many skill/support gems, mechanics and optimizations...the game WAS harder and everyone needed more time to finish the campaign

nowadays people create a ranger/shadow to pick a gem, delete the char and create a templar, then already routed where and when you should open portals, logout instead of portaling and so on, skip lab and so on...

so it is a mistake to compare with poe 2, the game is very different: more boss oriented, a bit more linear in the start plus logging out outside of bosses will put you on checkpoint instead of town
so people will create another optimal route to speed campaign

finally, i bet that items you drop inside acts will have a higher longevity in endgame in comparison with poe 1

I thought POE 2 players wanted to have meaningful combat. If that is the main drive you should in fact be happy that the campaign takes at least 20 hours. Why do you want to reach maps anyway? Don't you hate the zoom zoom gameplay?
