50 hours campaign is too much

Jast look back at other highly replayble games. All of them where 20, 30 hours or even less.

It's cool that u have 100 bosses to fight, but there is no need to fight all of them in campaign. U can freely shift 80 of them to atlas and it still would be very solid campaign.

I know, this not gonna happen, but that is feedback forum and my feedback - 50 hours is too much for a game, that is designed to be replayable.

Don’t worry, you’ll be faster the second and even faster the third time!:) if 20-30 hours is fine for you that’s propably where experienced players will settle.
Those are 50 hours for new players, people say new players in POE 1 are expected to take 25h to clear campaign, meanwhile everyone does it in around 6h without much experience.

Expect POE 2 campaign to be around 15-20h max.

Where is that 50 hours number coming from? Last I heard they said the campaign will take a NEW player around 25 hours. So expect experienced players down the line to get it done in 5-10 hours max.

Presumably it's coming from having to do it twice per character in EA
Mh, not sure about it but I assumed it's 25 hours for 6 acts, so basically for both playthroughs, because they stated "25 hours for the whole campaign" and not for the 3 acts iirc.

I think there's some perceptions at play here from PoE1 perhaps.

The campaign in PoE1 is kind of hard for some people to engage with and the thought of playing that for 50 hours does seem like a lot but if that campaign is more engaging and fun than PoE1's then this might not be a big deal.

Does anyone have any data on what level we'll exit this campaign?

I used to enter maps at level 40 >.>

Around level 65, it was shown in the presentation.

Thanks for the information! I have avoided spoiling as much as possible about it bu that time is about to end.

I guess some of the other posts are right too we might speed up after a few runs and then there's the meta strategies that will evolve, skipped areas and team coordination you name it.

My biggest concern with these things is the stability of the economy and the economic advantage of an individual versus things like the extra-altass-trees they added which imo hurt the economy more than it helped the game by allowing those who already dominate the market to dominate that much more of it and as a direct consequence lower the value for others at basically no cost.

I adored this game for its harsh costs even if they were painful sometimes it gave meaning to the choices.

Have you considered getting good so that those "50 hours" go down to 4-7, like anyone else who is eventually replaying this game?
