Why does Fextralife have Path of Exile 2 already?
|
The issue is/was, is that while a lot of outlets and content creators have access to the game, myself included. We were told multiple times what we were allowed to and not do.
And one of those things was to release any content from the demo/EA we got access to until December 6, when the game releases. We were also told NOT to release anything in terms of gameplay, articles, walkthroughs, etc past Act 2. That's the beef. Everyone else followed the guidelines. Speaking of which, it was a PR company that dished out everything, multiple times. Also, we were told if we didn't follow the rules there could be repercussions. And then here goes Fextralife releasing all of this info ahead of when we were told we could do so. I don't see why GGG said it was their fault when we were all told the same thing. Everyone else is following the rules. |

WTF GGG YOU MAKE ME LOSE HOPE, NO MORE SUPPORT....

I get the anger about preferential treatment. And fextra is a dumbass - but it is the way of the world. Just ignore any content he puts out and stay excited about the game!

Fuck me, why give access to the one channel proven to abuse and exploit games at the cost of the community and game.
The damage they did to twitch, and twitch viewership was subtle at first, but over time it affected all channels in proximity, and the whole platform eventually. Normal streamers had to compete with "legal viewbotting", viewers came in asking questions, only to find zero stream interaction and thousands of "viewers" watching someone who doesnt pay attention to the stream at all. Ads keep twitch alive, imagine being sold hundreds of thousands of views on your ad, only to find the vast majority cant see or hear it. The faith in twitch drops, the ads get worse, the platform cuts budget, everyone goes down a couple notches. Who benefits from Fextralife content? Clueless gamers who want baseline information parroted back to them..... maybe. But mostly just Fex. Im not saying everything on the wiki is false/bad, but knowing the full picture i would advise anyone and everyone to find another source. |

" When Activision bought Blizzard, i said this was terrible news. Comments said "a lot of anger here over something so small." I wonder who would agree with you in 5-10 years. |

" Seems you know it. |

" The bad build guides are actually a problem, especially if he becomes like a forefront channel for poe2, which would be very bad. However even top poe2 content creators only have around 100-200k Subscribers, not including people like Asmongold that come form other games initially. However i recommend everyone the Poe Wiki Search plugin for chrome. We already had issues with a bad wiki before, which is why that plugin was made so you get redirected to the good wiki lol |

POE community is pretty hermetic and not very large. You already have plenty of shady rmt sites posting terrible guides on youtube every league. They are AI-narrated drivel that isn't even close to being good build guide. But hey they point towards their little money store.
In a game like POE this does noticeable damage. To the economy, to the brand, to the community. |
