Why does Fextralife have Path of Exile 2 already?

I agree with this post. GGG should perform a thorough background check on every content creator they work with. Ideally performed by the FBI.

Doubled down with a guide lol. Didn't think I'd be losing hype the week of EA release.

If the fact that a random publisher of information, like them or not, had the ability to publisher information that you made the decision to go to and read/react to lowers your hype for a game I honestly do not think you were hyped in the first place.

Do not watch streamers, do not click on YouTube videos, do not go to third party sites and involve yourself with content and then get mad that you ingested that content.

It is the age of the internet, you cannot keep information secret for ever. If it wasnt Fextralife it would have been someone else. I bet when that video was posted GGG sent mass communications to all the different publishers (which I am sure there are probably hundreds) who have early-early access making their release schedule for information clear.

The only reason why this is such a big deal is because it was Fextralife.

Or it can be due to the fact of a bad decision IMO of giving out review copies(for EA) because things like this(leaks) always seem to happen. It has nothing to do with who it was. Furthermore if I wasn't hyped would I be following closely enough to even know things like this? I also like how you suggest I should stay off youtube ect, how bout I quit my job and don't talk to anyone "In case" they leak something they are not suppose to?
I would assume GGG allowed this so they could get in touch with Fextralifes viewbots and PR team so they could ensure there was less negativity in the dojo.

It seems everyone hates Fextralife just because they're very popular. If they were a niche content creator nobody would care. Kind of embarrassing.

What's embarrassing is that you've commented without reading even a single page of this thread. Otherwise you'd realise why people despise Fextralife.

There are loads of other popular content creators, who don't partake in any unethical practices, who no one would have any issue with having an early copy.
Let's just hope their poopy wiki won't eclipse the real one when it comes to search results.
lot of anger here over something so small.
Should I get a refund? This sounds serious.

GGG said they want reviews out there so that new players can make an informed choice about spending $30.

If you already know you want the EA, how does that affect you?

There is a massive difference between a game review video and literal guides/walk-throughs being posted days before the game even comes out based on an outdated version of the game.

Not to mention the pinnacle content being leaked by them when the GGG devs clearly stated in the PoE2 live-stream that they wanted people to experience going in blind.

What was the point of not showing the other pinnacle bosses if this dude is just going to leak everything before the game comes out.

Nobody would've cared if it was a 5-15 minute review video giving it a score and critiquing it and showing off some of the features.

I don't see why this is shocking to anyone, GGG's parent is the Chinese company Tencent, and even if they don't have any control over the major development processes, they could easily have sway in having information shared with the Chinese company Fextralife whom make a lot of money off of other Tencent holdings invested games.

If I was Fextralife, I would have been throwing kickbacks to Tencent to get in early on all they have access to. That is unless Tencent also owns them too..

THIS right here is what i've been assuming since the drama dropped.. Posted a few comments along these lines too but damn bro.., you worded that just Perfectly so i'mma just gonna bump your quote!.

Ironic isn't it.. 2 dodgy chinese companies with a history of bad practices colluding. looking with a retrospective eye it's no surprise Fextra gets shoehorned into reviews of past title releases too... Perhaps GGG just had to 'grin and bear it' in order to keep one of thier major investors placated...
