I absolutely agree. These are not generic "classes" but characters with a background story, personality and interact with the world differently. I really hope they don't go into that direction as it will invalidate a lot of the soul and world building POE has.
When playing the Marauder you know who that guy is and what he was exiled for. It's not a random generated bland character.
Even when there is a character builder I go for the same approach. I make a character that fits the world, not one that represents me.

Honestly I find the need for self-insertion very narcissistic and I really don't like it.

+1 to having the option to choose every class with more femine and more masculine body
If it can't be done well then at least:
+1 to having option to chose model of a different class. Like someone said playing witch with monk model and voice

Exactly and to add to that…don’t start a new thread on the same subject as an existing one that like 3 posts away ;)

GGG doesn't give you a choice, I've maintained a thread on this since 2019 but today despite having actively kept it out of the archive for reasons such as (its not a request thats going away) they deleted the post and told me to make a new one if i want to continue the discussion.

Which is incredibly infuriating to manage a thread with an open post and also keep it out of the archive for literal years to have it shut down like that, I was saving that post for today to support threads like this one and show everyone that support for this request.

The request isn't going away because its an important request its not like easy-mode or fart-mtx its the baseline for your character and it sets the stage.

I would like a character model which is feminine in appearance, except with a hairy chest a fancy handlebar moustache. This is what I identify with as a marauder and I find white looking male characters extremely triggering and gives me PTSD from the times I left my house and saw one in person.
