POE2 idea: Male/Female transmog

TL;DR: Maybe add a cash shop item that gender swaps your character's model. Even if it's just a generic one.

I'm going to be blunt.

While I know that in all reality the gender of my pixels in a video game in the end doesn't matter in POE because everyone is completely covered in armor and particle effects in the endgame...

But as a trans person who gets severe dysphoria playing male characters, it's a little hard for me to play classes like Marauder without some part of me screaming in the back of my mind. I love the strength building system, and while yes I know I can just play witch or ranger and build into strength down the line, I really like some of the specializations that come with male only characters.

It's a me thing, but since I know that the current rumor in POE2 is that there isn't going to be the option to change your gender, I wanted to put forward an idea:

A cosmetic that swaps the gender of your character. Could be just a generic look or something, but make it a cash shop item or something just so that I can *look* at something other than a male character. And make it the same vice versa, so you can turn female characters into masculine models.

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this but I needed to put it out there.

I also think it would be rad to have the gender option for classes and if not baked into the characters I figure, a transmog would be cool and not harm anything, right?

Having your character look how you want helps with feeling good about what your playing after all so why not?

Honestly agree, people opening new threads to say the same things as have already been said is either tactical or just plain lazy (not using search).

Gender choice on characters would be cool, and I’m in favour of it. But, I also am very aware of the work involved in doing so and that they’ve never ever done this before.
If it happens great, if it doesn’t then play or don’t play.

Perhaps I misspoke and not a sub forum but a moderation team that consolidated near identical threads, but we know that won’t happen

i ll repeat my suggestion here again.

instead of male/female transmog, let us choose the character model of our choice.

for example i want to play a witch, but i want to use the monk as the base model.

as for voice lines i m fine if all cutscenes and voicelines refer to the player as a generic "exile"

This has been requested for so long and for good reason.

I've lost count how many threads like this i've seen, people always an option to "identify" themselves within a game.

If they do that (that they wont, good.), then "non-binary" people will come and want their option. Then LBGT want an option too.
Then "Hey I identify myself as an attack helicopter, where is my option".

POE has classes, simple, not genders. Play D4 if you want that.
