Meta Bullshit

Don't disappoint people who want to try something on their own in PoE 2 and explore the game. PoE1 was a fascinating game and it really allowed for a lot of freedom in building. I hope this will be the same in PoE2.
Meta is bullshit. Yes, you can do certain content much better with certain builds. But if a correctly made build can't do anything in the game, then there's a problem. You may not be able to provide this until the full release. But please don't neglect it. Please don't condemn people to meta. Please..

I already said that i have no problem with this in PoE1. Maybe i couldn't express it well because my english is not good. I have no problem with PoE1. And i hope it will be the same in PoE2.

As a 1700hr's ssfhc only, no guides, no meta player (and yes I've not beaten pinnacle bosses) this is true. Self build is the entire fun of the game for me and if I beat the endgame content I would probably be done with the game.

Planning the same for POE2, no softcore (insta-delete on death), no guides, no streamer, no meta bulld, no trading -> just brain vs. game to the end. Totally blind bossing especially in deep maps is great too (well outside when GGG throw in completely new unexplained boss mechanics randomly).

Is it known if we have ssf in poe2? I'm sure we will at release, but next week?

Pretty sure yes, but if not then just self imposed SSF.

Meta is created by competition. If you want to be competitive you have to follow the meta. You have to farm the meta. There is no other way. If it does not bother you being slow and last in everything don't follow meta but if you play trade league and you don't follow meta even a bit and don't keep up prices will outscale you.

There’s always going to be a meta in games like this. Deal with it. If you don’t care about maximum efficiency then don’t play it. You can absolutely hit maps with a wand, 2 rings, and an amulet (PoE1 hasn’t allowed me to relive my D2 naked sorc) if you play well. Stop caring about other people and just have your own fun. If your fun is playing the economy game then meta-up buttercup else enjoy a travel node only build or whatever floats your boat.

There's not such thing as real meta as it's just some artificially made up stuff by random content creators. So in the end just another player who's playing the game like everyone else here lol.

The best "meta" build is to min-max your own fun out of your playtime, which is not really hard as you can even be successful without playing the current best BiS build to giga rush all content in a few hours less compared to other builds.
