Please GGG do something about minions !!!!
" It sounds like the worst idea I ever heard. Having to rearrange the gems in the middle of combat sucks. Not being able to change modes in combat defeats the point of having them to begin with. Having to waste gem slots to not have your minions do stupid things sucks. There's nothing the slightest bit good whatsoever about having minion AI controlled by gems. |

" I'm pretty sure this was his point. You shouldn't be able to control everything your minions do all the time. The gems would set them into a role that you determined they should preform before you went into combat. I agree with this idea in the sense that this is the most amount of control I think would be a good idea. Any more micro managing would really mess with the style of the game imo. Edit: Also, I would even be okay if the "control" supports gave a small bonus to the minion that would go along with the role they are to preform. They said I was mad! They said it couldn't be done! But now who's mad?!?! Last edited by Guadagno#2062 on Jun 21, 2012, 11:51:56 AM

Maybe a reason for me to start playing again.
But 1 hit zombies still wont help. (eg one hitted before they can hit) |

" And what property would the gem gain when it leveled up? Sounds like a waste of a gem to me. |

Aggressive Stance: minions act like they do with the current AI. +X% damage, quality adds +1-2% attack speed.
Defensive Stance: minions stay closer to the master, attacking enemies that attack the master or move within a certain distance. +X% life, quality adds +1-2% to all elemental resistances. If you try to combine the two, the higher level gem would take precedence. Unsupported, minions would have AI based around the average of those 2 effects. They wouldn't be super aggressive or defensive. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

This would be a great change.
I suppose minions could also use a buff early on, specially skeletons. I just got skellies (level 12 I think) and they are useless. Basically after I summon 3 pairs, they all die. Maybe change the skill tree so there's a summoning tree with 'strong' buffs early on? |

I think an "attack dog" gem would be cool, one that would be target able like a skill. you click on a mob, all your pets swarm that mob and will attack it until it or they are dead.

Okay, I'm playing Witch. When I was only able to summon 2 Zombies, I respawn them when low life but a few times it would summon more. Meaning sometimes 1-2 more Zombies and once I got up to 8.. Like WAT?! ^_^ then some ran off and never came back.. -_-.
Anyone else experience this? Hope it gets fixed. "literally the worst feeling in the world is talking to someone about something you really love and just watching the interest fade out of their eyes" - Thebrotherswinchester

" I found that using them weak Skelies as decoys works a bit, I used them when fighting Merveil. Still, so very very weak.. wish them to elemental skelies like them necros summon. " I really like the idea proposed about orders to follow you, that's a PROPER summoner! |
