Damage Meter?
|
i don't know about other people but i am getting annoyed a little playing the game. It`s not that that game sucks. the game is awesome the last boss in first area is way too op but that not the problem.
The big problem is there is no damage meter when i attack some thing. i want to see how much damage i`m doing or the mobs doing to me. without the numeric feed back the game feel a bit plain. i want to see if my new gear is doing a difference. i know they show the stat of my attack power defense or evasion but still it doesn't feel right without the visual feed back. this is what i personally hope it`s implemented or artless consider. my English isn't that good but hope it understandable. Perfectly understandable, and I agree with you. I like to see big damage numbers myself, and it's just so much more visually pleasing.
I also agree with your other suggestion, it'd be great if every time we'd hover over an item in your inventory or on the ground and it would be compared to what you currently have equipped and give a detailed view of just exactly what stats would be gained or lost by equipping the new item. It's not exactly necessary seeing as all of that can be found in the character sheet, but it's just so much more convenient. I always thought the future depended on the choices you made.

I'm not interested in this at all.
Actually, I want to avoid numerical feedback while playing. I just want visual, sound and symbols. I do agree that a comparisation window, with red for negative and green for positive gains would be good. Or something like that. |

" But, here's the thing: if the option is there, in the game, to appear as the classic floating text damage feedback we see in modern games like Torchlight 2 and Diablo 3, I'd guess that many people would use it, and the rest of the people could just turn it off. So don't open this can of worms again, please. The OP is absolutely correct. This is a needed feature and it has been addressed by the developers in another thread. I don't blame him for not finding it because it'd be rather specific search indeed. OP, the result of the thread I mentioned was a dev coming in and saying that the feature is planned for the future, and would have three options: one would be to have the feedback text completely disabled. Another would be to have it show specific things (for examples crits, misses, etc.), and another would be to have it show full details of combat damage to everyone and everything. |

Would like to see them as well.
My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

To me it's obvious it's not clarifying anything at all. But we all think differently about just about everything. As long as there is an option, I believe it's a good feature to add.

Ah, diablo3.gif is an instant classic.
I vote no because damage numbers looks like shit (see poster above). I also vote no to adding it as an option since it means dev time taken away from valuable content in favor of gaudy bullshit that covers up the beautiful artwork in the game. |

Won't happen. Just come with "creative" things, rather than generic craps as this, inv space etc. [not that you asked it, but others do which is to be pissed off]

Personally I would not like to see numbers popping up every time I hit a monster, but I wouldn`t mind it if it were an option that you could turn off.
