Reintroducing wildwood is potentially a big mistake. At least make it not appear in T17

Sure people enjoyed it as a one off league but we all know what will happen with a core version. It will be a bland watered out version. It has to or it is too dominating. They absolutely have to restrict it to T1-16. If this thing can spawn in T17s we will see a whole new level of 0.001% players dominating economy with boosting the quant/rarity with whisps.

I think reintroducing it is a big mistake.

Honestly it's good that people can't abuse it anymore in low tier maps.

But it's best to keep the fomo in check and wait for the full patch.
My guess is that they did adjusted both ww benefits and t17 loot in general so the small buff from ww is going to impact little to nothing. But since ww ascendancy don't exist with the comeback who know what else they placed behind the encounters.
There's a good change that spectre players get the npc back to buy corpse for all various currently non accessible spectre types.

The only word I can find to describe this, is "unneeded".

I mean, a T17 map boosted by 4-5k+ wisps will be hard. Very hard. To the point of only a few people running them reliably. ESPECIALLY with "Back to Basics", which is one of the largest problems with T17. The huge problem here, would bee keeping it T17 only, which they aren't doing. And as Pashid said; you can't abuse them in low tier maps, like 'everyone' was doing in Affliction League.

The important questions here, are:
1) How rare is the encounters?
2) Can you influence their spawn rate in any way, or is it totally RNG?

If they are somewhat rare and you can't influence the spawn chance, I see no problems here, as you can't really buff the map based on wisps. If they aren't rare or if you can influence the chance, I don't really like this...

Honestly I would welcome the wildwood ascendencies. They fixed many issues with some of the weaker ascendancies.

Showing as a player who never got a big payout in this league or affliction, the juice isn't as big as advertised. Not everyone is getting big lootexplosions.
its just content for the streamers and other 1%....also they probably nerfed t17 loot so unless you run them juiced with wildwood you wont get the same loot as you did this league, so wildwood will probably be mandatory now if you want good loot
I didn't even play affliction so I have no idea what it is other than the teaser but I do know theres a large percentage of players who didnt play or can't play T17 with their builds of choice and I think that's a bit unfair it's like they're helping the smaller percentage of player base thinking it'll make them happy which isn't helping the larger community enjoy the game, weird flex man.

I mean it seems very likely to me that we're gonna get Wildwood nodes on the atlas passive tree, in the locations currently filled with the Necropolis nodes.

wildoowd makes the mobs harder and gives better drops...so there will be a lot of FOMO because like you said a lot of people cant even run basic t17 let alone empowered with wisps. not sure why they always try to create FOMO

If it's available in T16 that'll be sweet then. This league just been *spit* my SST ran all T17s with absolute ease but my other 2 builds would use up a few portals just getting to the bosses then 50/50 if I'd kill them so yeah I feel bad for people because people want to play builds they find FUN and not have to be forced into playing something because it's the only viable option for a map clear or boss clear.

I mean ranged vs melee in Sanctum that's still a bit of a joke really haha!

Anyway thanks for the explanation Lyuts~ if it's in T16s it'll at least be there for a way larger population of folks to enjoy (if it's actually fun)
