Fractured Items Reset: Vendor Recipe
I want to ask this very specific question and it is very important.
So I did my research, but I'm still unsure about this. There was / is a vendor recipe where you could "restore" fractured items with a specific vendor recipe and it would give you back the item in Normal rarity I believe. Now the real question is, does this vendor recipe still exist and does it work? THE IMPORTANT ONE -> If the recipe works and if you try to restore the item that has A Crucible Tree, what will happen? Will the legacy Crucible Tree get removed? Last bumped on Jun 28, 2024, 4:03:35 PM

To expand on this in case people find this thread later:
There is not "specific" vendor recipe that "restores" Fractured items. However, generally speaking, vendor recipes that return an item as a normal item or with a specific modifier function as stated: returning the item as a normal item, or as a magic item with the specific modifier and nothing else; these types of recipe effectively remove Fractured modifiers. The distinction is because most fractured gear won't qualify for these recipes. Weapons have an easy pass, but for other gear, I think it only works for Boots with a +movement speed modifier (recipe for adding or higher tier movement speed), and rings/amulets with a fractured prefix (recipe for higher tier chaos res). Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of the above. Going on to the matter of Crucible trees: the item would keep its Crucible tree if it is returned by the recipe; however, some Crucible passives prevent vendor recipes from working in the first place. Crucible passives that increase item quality or affect what the item sells for, don't work with vendor recipes. |
