HELP! I am stuck with T1 maps....

Hello exiles,

I am an inexperienced mapper and am currently having trouble clearing T1 maps, I find myself getting one shot by rare mobs with exploding corpses, cast ice bolt or X on hit with no time to react. How does a lowly impale champion survive the atlas map? Will maxing my resistances save the day? Am I to skinny and simply require more max life or should I suck it up and get more sustain?

Nvm, SSF Ruthless :) Well you chose it yourself.

My man made it to level 72 on a one link with quite the passive tree.

Thanks for the comments but I was trying to do low T maps to get 13 atlas skill points so that I can fill out the first necropolis node for better gear. Do you think that it is better for me to farm merciless lab for grand spectrum health and skill gem rerolls? Or should I try to brute force low T maps to get better corpses and then get better gear?

Grand spectrums are very rare. Let alone how rare they would be in ruthless.

What you need to do from a basic standpoint is make sure your resists are capped (75%), all your gear has as much life as possible and get your main skill on a four link.

Ruthless is the most difficult mode so if you are not an experienced player I would recommend switching to regular SSF unless you are fine with an absolute mind numbing grind.

Thanks for the comment gladiatorpie, I managed to get full resist and will get 79% elemental resist on all elements which makes this more manageble. I do wonder however are there any tips on how to clear the T1 crimson township map boss. The dot is to strong for me to tank and I don't know how to dodge it all.

That dot grows with amount of boss summons, take it slow and kill every summon first as they appear.

Yep, maxing res will be a good start, its pretty important in this game. The good news is you've made it past the campaign and lots of room for improvement if you want to go further. Using crafting bench might be a good start, any rare items with less than 5 mods can have a 6th added very cheaply on the crafting bench.

Beating 3rd lab will be helpful, although it might be tough for you without some improvement. Your tree looks ok to me, but need to fix skills, should be on a 4 link bare minimum and your other skill spots should be being used for other things that help you, like a guard skill, probably with CWDT, and a curse like vulnerability, more auras.

Don't run crimson township boss, that's my advice on that one, unfortunate that it's an early map boss this league, do it once, or come back to it once you are more powerful, most other map bosses should be easier for you.

Don't expect to find one, they are mega rare, I haven't dropped one in many lab runs, it might be ok to farm for some gems/gear just not for the jewel. There are some good areas that can be farmed if t1 maps are rough, try Desecrate chambers/reliquary or blood aqueduct. If you are getting too over leveled (10 lvls) content will stop spawning. You are high enough lvl now though to do maps if you fix some of the things mentioned in this thread up.

OP is playing in a Ruthless league - there is no crafting bench in Ruthless mode.
