just a diablo clone?

The only things they have in common are the random drops/generation, they are both an ARPG and the have a dark vibe. Everything else is diffent like the skill system, with the passive and active beeing split, the characters are different, the atributes are paired with the passive skills and so on. It may look like a clone on the outside because the visual design is similar and some of the mechanics are similar (cause they're both ARPG's) but theres so much to the game that makes it unique.

The skill and talent system are alot different from diablo, other than that it has alot of similarities.

Points for passive skills are sick, so much to choose from!

there are tons of players out there looking for a "good clone" of d1/d2 with nice gfx, itemsystem and skills.

Now they don´t have to look further .. it´s all in here beside Sets and Runewords.


Just watch some streams of higher lvl chars to get a really good feeling for the game even without having a key yourself. And some streamers talk about what they are doing and reply to the questions asked in the chat.

not just any diablo clone. its much more. the skill system is very inventive and also gemming and skilling the character is really nice. Every char can have any active skill and can mod them for just your own purpose.

And the gfx are very grim and dark. wich is really nice for a game like this. Unlike torchlight that is all candy dont like candy graphics had enough in wow.

that just proves that PoE is for adult gamers.

It looks like a clone, but I kind of believe it has enough differences that sets itself apart from Diablo.

I havent played the game but watched vids of it. Looks good almost like Diablo but if they keep it away like same powers as diablo Blizzard can sue for copyright. But if they make their own powers and different char names and acts then power to grinding gear games. Because its not diablo but looks as diablo. Looks good wish i can get my hand on the beta.
