Cannot login it says I need update but I have updated repeatedly

I tried clearing my steam download cache, but this had no effect. When I hit the play poe button, it says validating, shows its downloading. When its finished, the game launches, but when I try to log into poe, it says there has been a patch please restart poe. Steam starts the download again, with the same results. Its stuck in a perpetual download loop.

Same. I found an old forum post 8months ago about the same issue. Apparently steam is downloading the wrong patch. They fixed but i dont know how long it will be.

I got frustrated and started downloading the 38GB pc version. Lol. Yes. Needed that POE fix. If someone can post when the steam works that’d be swell too. :)

See if you can go to Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Clear Download Cache. Or tldr redownload the game. This worked for me

Mine just updated again. Its working now. :)
