Gating new things behind years old content...

Considering I've been running lab constantly because it doesn't have the stupid latern in it,

I've yet to see the deterministic transfigure gem craft or the exceptional one.

Ultra rare grinding options need to go if they are that rare. Every divine
font use is utter trash.

yeah lol, i was reporting to the "SSF" player's answer above.
That player's comment was pretty much this "its ok you play trade, just spend more now".
I don't understand who would come up with such a comment, unless someone connected to the company or someone that makes money out of it, especially as an SSF player
Your comment looks irrelevant even more.

What are you even talking about?

The OP is trying to get a specific trans gem in the initial post. This is no different than needing a specific alt gem before lab. The only difference now is its cheaper and faster.

Just buy it, if you dont want to run lab and are playing trade. "just spend more" isn't even correct. You would have to spend way more to get a specific alt gem if you wanted to farm grand heist and not actually trade for one.

Amazing how you say you dont understand someone who would come up with such a comment when you typed out nothing but nonsense.

And if this game was pay to win I bet you'd suggest spending money wouldn't you?

Okay ... what?

Spend real life money on the game is somehow linked to you playing trade and buying items?

What is happening? What a silly repsonse. You realize you are the one with the supporter pack badge, not me right?

If anyone was to pay to win between us two here, you would be first in line.

I may play on trade, but I only use that as a last resort when I get fed up with farming boring old content from years past.

Then lower your expectations from the game. Don't play a build that requires specific items that dont have a guaranteed drop. Since you dont want to put in the work to get them.

Or just trade for them.

Or just dont play pseudo-SSF, game is not balanced around it. The option is reserved for player choice, with that choice comes disadvantages.

(Which I am quickly approaching) Funny how you suggest doing other content that is just nearly as old (or at least feels that way) in Delve. That content is just as mind numbing.

Yea funny how I suggested it. Its not even required. Just passive map, thats how I got 20 gems.

Maps are years old content though, so you might just never level your gems.

TL;DR you completely missed my point and even appear to have not read what I said about farming OLD content to gain new items

Title: Gating new things behind years old content.
Main Point: coming up with a new way to endlessly run lab to try for a specific transfigured gem

Solution given to you: Just trade for it
Your answer to the solution I may play on trade, but I only use that as a last resort

Does GGG balance their game and loot around not trading?
No

TLDR: Dont pick a trans gem as your main gem if you dont want to trade or farm lab.
Mash the clean
I honestly understand where you're coming from. LAB is quite old content for sure, although I didn't like how it was setup in Heist either.

Gems are the main source to create (new) builds. I'm sure we can agree that locking more powerful versions of a gem behind certain content is understandable. If lab is the right content is indeed debatable. Although If had to pick between Heist or Lab... I think lab is the lesser evil and much more accessible for the more casual players and we have to run it anyway for our ascendancy.
It did make heist really optional content like (most) other league content. Compared to before where it semi-required if you wanted a specific alt quality gem.

What I do would love to see though, is more ways to manipulate the gem crafting options in the end than we currently have. We sure have the different offerings, where Gift of the Goddess is the best option for more crafts and less runs; provided that you're able to run the lvl 83 lab.
That said though, looking for days with a short lab does help a lot.

On that note I do agree with some people that if you play in a trade league, you can just trade for the gem. Usually they are relative affordable. Sure the 21/20 versions could be pricy, but a lvl 1 gem usually isn't unless it's meta.

Personally I would have loved entirely new content where could get the gems from. Or an actual rework of the old content that expands on the current lore.
