Catarina T17 is peak boss design

What pattern is there to learn if boss stats are random every time? I cannot even run it white to establish the baseline. Not only boss damage is different, its speed and coverage also different.

And no, I was not trying it with 2kk dps. Don't know my exact dps because of never using POB, but should be around 10-12kk when everything is on. Learning non-uber pinnacles is fine, you can do it even on 2kk without getting hit. T17 is not, and I've already quit playing this patch.

But that doesn’t change boss patterns. If you have basic knowledge about boss, map mods will tell you what to expect.

I'm disabled, I have rare case of semperduravera, so I can write things that may look rude, but it is because of disability - I'm forced to tell truth using words you may not like.

Yes, but with tiny T17 arenas avoiding every attack is practically impossible (on abomination map you have 3 bosses spamming aoe). You will get hit there. Thus you need to learn what attacks you can afford to tank, and what should be avoided at all costs. And this is where T17 mods don't deliver. Random damage spikes from mods can be large enough that even "light" attacks can be deadly, and there are no floating numbers to show the damage.

I don't need to tell you that no other arpg does this kind of... design. Either you make weak baseline boss and allow it to be randomly buffed, like all common map bosses, or you make very strong and dangerous boss, but leave it immutable, so all players (not just Korean cybersport elite) can learn to manually dodge it.
Thats the point, to learn the bosses - and that is what Pashid wrote. Plenty of people could do it, so you can too.

You can practice for UBER MAVEN on regular Maven. LOL. Bolded it and underlined it too.

This is a videogame, "interesting" should be the word, not "can". Everyone can. Since T17 cannot be made white, formally I can eventually run every possible boss mod combination and develop a feeling of what to expect in each. Considering T17 drop rate this would be immense time and grind undertaking with a lot of oneshots on the way, kind of which fails to entertain me since div/ex swap.

As a side note about motivation, not only did GGG stole some of my money with their regional price difference, rest of investments into this game can safely be called "down the drain" too:) They spend resources on everything but the game mode I was originally interested in. More grind which only broken OP builds can pass, more temp league-only content, more ruthless, more ways to alienate standard players like totally avoidable wipe of existing alt gems. They cannot even make civilised scarab conversion without thousands of clicks lol.

So my life is thankfully not revolving around poe, and "engage in our newest rippy boss grind because it is new!" won't work anymore.
What are you on about? You can learn those bosses in expedition, heist or sanctum. You don’t want to? Fine, then don’t, and sell your T17.
“Interesting”? T17 is most interesting content that was added to tha game at least since expedition, maybe longer. I like them a lot.

When people say "learning the boss" it just means having a build that's able to tank the boss attacks because the ground effects and lasers spawning around it are more deadly. That's what they think skillful challenge is.
I know, lol. And also having dps to kill the boss before said ground effects and lasers accumulate :)

T17 bosses are unsustainable otherwise, you cannot keep dodging them for sports, like dodging sirus or maven for example.
Lol catarina and elder the easiest by far

Your strength is the law !!
