The campaign is simply terrible
" I agree, before campain there were 3 Acts and 3 difficulty settings. Campain in current form is great improvement. And it is good enought, at least for me. Not many h&s games have campain that "fits" me (for example campains in Grim Dawn or Titan Quest are garbage to me and just meh) but that in PoE is OK. I usually progress with my gear throught it. Around act 7-8 i usually have eq that will carry me to maps but i always seek an opportunity for something better. I like it. |

Poe has the best arpg campaign I've ever played.
LE is follow the yellow diamond and click, diablo 4 campaign is carried by cinematics which are quite good, d3 (lol?) d2 the whole game is the campaign (i do love d2 though), undecember is ok but I usually don't have a whole lot of time to understand the game well enough to enjoy it. Poe campaign gets you in town often enough for inventory management to not really cross your mind a whole lot, you have checkpoints and challenges to complete, it teaches you about the game, you have periodic things to look up to, etc. Its actually well made. People are just mad they have to do it, not that its bad. If you wanna turn a game on and experience the whole game in 20 minutes call of duty and fortnite exist. |

I don't think "Terrible" is fair. It's just old and we've all done it many many many times, so it becomes tedious. The first 3 or 6 times, it was interesting, and I stopped to listen to the dialog and followed the story.
I can't think of many games that can hold up to so many repeat plays to be honest. Chrono Trigger maybe? But then again, I might even be tired of that game if I played it "every 3 months" instead of "every 3 years." |

the campaign is hated cause it's too easy.
i suggested ggg to buff the campaign so people spend more time with it, especially since poe2 was advertised as a new campaign but ggg introduced t17 maps instead. understandable, since alot of players hate suddenly failing on content which they just blasted through before but there are few other ways to prevent the campaign being seen as a nuisance. one is to offer serveral ways to play the campaign dependent on your build and skills, i hope poe2 is getting more flexibility and difficulty. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

The last thing that POE1 needs is more difficulty, regardless if its campaign or mapping or bossing.

" no the campaign is hated because by now, some people had to run it 100's of times. i love pizza but if i had to eat it every day for 10 years straight then i would probably end up hating it too. also act 1 being the hardest act doesn't even make sense. since they abandoned making all the acts harder they should just reverse what they did to act 1, back to how it used to be. |

" ^ I think this is most of it. Sure there are probably some people who want "The Dark Souls AARPG" - but I feel they are a loud but small minority. Most folks are just tired of doing the same thing so many times. |

And now they just made it worst
Now if you want the same amount of skill point as before you have to go in area no one ever went before. Why am I still here

Ive been playing poe since the *lfm docks farming* and *omg GMP thats worth 3-4c!* days.
And i still enjoy doing the campaign. I usually level multiple classes up to atleast 80~90 during a league and i dont mind doing the campaign. its the mundane running map after map in the endgame that i get bored of. |

" of course, if your're playing hardcore on a glass cannon build it can be frustrating, starting on twilight strand over and over. but for me, spending 2 days playtime every 4 months on the same content isn't. to understand my point, try the game on ruthless. ggg overdid it a bit with item scarcity but for me, the general feeling is not that of "playing boring content" even if you play it again and again to gather items and currency. -- there is a easy solution for the problem: just have easy acts for accounts with no playing experience and difficult acts for experienced players. of course this isn't happening since ggg designed leagues as a race to maps, winners get rich by being able to hit a unsaturated market. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
