NEXT PATCH MELEE BUFF

I'll actually be league starting with melee, but it won't be actual melee.
splitting steel is not melee, it is not tagged melee and it cant generate fortify stacks. Its the same type of skill as sst, projectile.

jokes aside baking the totems buffs and fortify into melee skills is something that should have been done years ago.


The totems and fortify should have never existed from the start. They did all that shit instead of adjusting numbers. The only thing it has ever caused is more problems for melee.

I still can't get over champion bow builds, spellcasters with shield charge, etc. It was as if they made fortify to give advantages to non melee builds. After realizing the "mistake" they crippled it for everyone. With melee taking the biggest hit each time (just like the stat stick nerfs, the AOE nerfs, the "this is a buff" thing, the attack speed gutting, ignoring the targeting issues, etc...man when you look at GGG's history this have been really screwing over melee at every turn for no reason...)

The totem thing i still believe that they just slapped a melee tag on the totem because they had nothing for melee when it first came out.


I can't wait to see how they handle the "Riddle of Melee" in POE2.
