What do you think will happen to That Which Was Taken?

They're cool, but we don't need more obviously mandatory jewels. I do like the way they give access to lines from other ascendencies.

If I had to guess, they're not sending this core.

They shouldn't go core as it's just another layer of unnecessary power creep that we don't really need as the game is already spoiled enough with pure player power.
It would be somewhat fine if they dump down the power of the item to just 2 random charm mods, instead of 4 and add it as a random drop. Just because some interactions might or might not enable some interesting builds. But I guess that doesn't really matter anyways with 90% of the player base playing and following just some ooga booga streamer meta builds anyways.
Or with items like The Adorned it's clearly viable that power creep doesn't really matter anymore and we already reached the point of playing D3 just in Wraeclast with the ever growing player power. hoho

i think its fine if it goes legacy.

im all for expensive items and chase stuff but do we really need this one? it kind of waters down the importance of ascendancies a bit, were taking away individuality and importance of choices from the build game and just sayings its ok, if you are rich you can just buy your way out of a lot of those decisions being tradeoffs.

i like watchers eye, thats a great jewel, the whole pick n mix idea for jewels is really cool. i do like TWWT for a league but i think as a core feature its problematic.


the idea of making it 2 stats only is interesting, i think thats a lot more reasonable.

This is the true PoE player - no jokes - he understands the mathematics of things and when he C, he C what others cant C

That Which Was Taken looks like Watchers "second edition".
I believe it will surely go to core, maybe some affixex that are too OP will be nerfed in 3.24 or later.

It will come to standard, unchanged though be legacy from then on.

We're in the twilight years of PoE 1 and GGG is being generous to those who're sticking around till the end. We can make a mirror in a couple of weeks this league ffs. I stopped playing for 4 years when harvest and synth league was around, but I don't think we've ever had anything anywhere near close to this level of currency generation.

It's like GGG has given us a pension boost for PoE 1's retirement.

Charm and TWWT jewel shouldn't go to core. If so, then a massive nerfs will be warranted if both go to core. The ceiling can be higher or stayed the same, but the floor will get lower. 4 ascendancy powers from various characters, condensed into a jewel, is extremely powerful, and as well as charm albeit fewer and need primalist ascendancy class. IF TWWT is not just a jewel, but a gear, then it would be understandable.

Honestly here is the way i see it.

Either affliction will replace ritual. OR some of the affliction rewards will be added to ritual.

Why do I make this claim

1 for no reason in particular we got ritual specific rewards in affliction (like seriously why does the purple mist king encounter drop a ritual flask lol?)

2 ritual rewards lack personality and are generally considered total dog shit. I could easily see that jewel and even the whole king in the mists encounter replace a ritual altar randomly.
