Seriously, please reduce the balls of the searing exarch boss

New players can't really practice them as much for that reason(lose money every time), so if any changes we need to decouple uber invitations from normal boss invitations.

I've been saying this for a while now. There should be a boss arena without loot of xp gain/loss so that players can learn the mechanics of the fights. Like they are now it's a pain to learn anything since you need to grind a lot just to be able to go there... and no, YouTube should not be the answer to learn the fights.

It really isn't all that hard in the first place lol. It's punishing if you can't maneuver...but its crystal clear and offers time and space for you to to get where you need. WAY easier than Maven. Possibly even easier than Sirus...although thats mainly due to visibility.

I have ADHD and, while I also struggle with Maven's memory puzzle, Exarch's touhou-level of fireball spam completely overwhelm me. I've yet to successfully survive that phase.

This gets into what I was saying in my earlier post regarding not everyone having the same skills or capabilities as the minority of players.

There are different ways on solving these kind of problems though. Maybe try some of those? If you can't dodge it, tank it. In more than a hundred uber shaper fights i still haven't learned to get past bullet hell without eating at least 2 or 3 balls. I also consistently run into uber eaters tentacle slams during the doom phase. Solution? I make builds that compensate for my inability. Most mechanics in this game can be ignored if you just build for it.

It's valid to ask for separate entry keys for uber fights, i am all for that as well. But asking for regular boss fights to be balanced around the people with the least amount of ability possible doesn't sound like a great idea to me.
The only viable strategy is to have millions of DPS and kill him before it has the opportunity to launch more than two or three waves of balls. For those who expect a more skillful approach there is no way to dodge wave after wave of balls. It is simply too overwhelming. Besides the game is not designed for this precision maneuvering.
I agree that the game isn't designed for the precision movement but it isn't impossible, just increase your margin for error and you'll be fine (you can increase it all the way up to where you don't have to actually do it even)

You can use a few gems like totems or frostwall to pop some for you as well if you prefer or summon skeletons even is nice and fast regardless of cast speed and lets you just delete a ball wherever you want.

ball phase in exarch is manageable, you can just use some skeletons to make it way easier. At least there is SOMETHING you can do.

The worst phase by far is simon says in maven's final phase. You have an arena that is already a total clusterfuck with these laser beams AND you launch a mechanic requiring fast movement across the entire damn arena with a very strict time limit. I just give up and wait it out in the grace period.

That's not what I'm arguing about.

There's a big difference between "creating a build centered entirely around tanking" and "drop an essential skill you need for your build just so you can fight this boss and then throw it away afterwards since you have no other use for it" which everyone on this thread is suggesting.

If you wanna ruin your ability to do mapping in any reasonable pace by making a super slow tank so you can do bossing, sure that makes sense. That's the point of the build.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

The point is that you can momentarily sacrifice some gem sockets to make a mechanic easier which you could otherwise practice - and master. Essentially, you are allowed a crutch to make the fight easier, and somehow you use that as an argument against it, which I, as well as other posters, find weird.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

I didn't say anything about making a super slow tank though? I mean we aren't even talking uber exarch here. Some 85+ max res and a ruby flask like this
and you can play "catch em all" with those balls on basically whatever fast mapper you like.

or if you have enough dps to kill the boss in 1-3ball phases, just logout for ball phase and dont move until it ends when you reenter the arena.
