Will we always look like a homeless guy ?

As usual, I advise checking someone's posting history when you're not sure 'if they're trolling or not.'

Some of my 'higher' level characters look pretty good, but I still like the aesthetic of Wraeclast as a desperate place devoid of any real craftsmanship, trade or art. You use what works best.

Sometimes that's a leftover set of full plate from some bygone civilisation, and sometimes it's a door for a shield.

I haven't read every post on this thread, but in an interview Chris stated that our avatars may be leaving the island of Wraeclast and returning home (in a later act). If that were to happen, I would imagine that the armor/weapons would get a bit more fancy.

Exactly, what works best. A full studded leather suit would in reality work better than the lvl 59 "crusader plate", because at least it would provide protection for everything, not just the middle of your chest in front of which you always hold your weapon and massive hands anyway. IMO marauder armor in particular looks very, very impractical and pointless, it's like wearing a trashbin cover on your chest and that's it. Any enemy with a brain will know not to attack that one spot which is protected by your "armor" and wreck your legs and arms instead. Even monsters after one hit would learn not to attack you in the chest. And at lvl 59 you would expect to look better. But in all honesty I think they will change the armor that currently uses the same textures at different levels in the future. Wouldn't be very wise of them not to change it.

I quite like the idea of looking like a hobo yet smashing everything that comes your way to smithereens too their surprise.


Heh GGG might even sell a "Hobo Package" in the cash shop for those who want to surprise people in PvP. ;-)

eh.. idea of "cool looking armor" sux just make more REAL armors and redesign old 1 cuz they look same its just copy but with new name/stats... the same texture evry few lvl
more amors with more textures nothing else they look great i like arena plate :D but the amount of textures is too small
