Honestly, the only things I can maybe possibly see going core is the rucksack and the monster radar from Warden of Eaves. Those are both QoL.


i m resentful that the monster radar is not in the game activated by default.

rucksack is nice to have but not too necessary.

as for power creep i m actually all for it. weaker players get stronger. i see no downside in that. the current aspirational content are still out of reach for most of the player base even with the additional power

I personally would love to see it go core in some way, obviously not in the state it's in now but I love the theme
I think they put too much work in it to scrap it, they will likely just nerf the ascendancies and put it back in the game later. Or create some keystones with the cool ascendancies. or maybe add sanctified relics back with wildwood notables. or something to that extent.
TWWT core yes, add it to one of the bosses, shaper maybe cos it sucks and this would be a nice incentive.

oh and add that 20 slot backpack to everybody. like 95% of all characters on poeninja use it, it would suck to just lose it like this, without any reimbursement.
ZERO SHOT Affliction juicing goes core it was obviously a Borrowed power design in fact it might be the most cynical and obviously never going core league mechanic they've ever made IMO. I much prefer when they make leagues that I don't IMMEDIATELY understand are never going to be a part of the game. Still I enjoyed it to my own surprise.

100% chance that the next league is a Dopamine Fast (probably a crafting style league not loot explosion, if its a loot explosion league it'll be a disappointing one. Often when they do this they also make a "crafting league" or "build your own" style mechanic if not immediately then shortly after and this seems to be an emerging pattern they're following whether consciously or subconsciously.

That said I would love GGG to make 2nd Ascendancy a permanent thing, but with maybe the need to spend your limited points between the two instead of getting 8 in each. it has exactly the same fun build crafting creativity as D&D's double classing system. With re-balancing of charms and less points they wouldn't even be that large of a powercreep and the new fresh creativity would be worth the increase in player power IMO.

I could also see Tinctures put in as Uniques that replace one or more flasks and maybe balanced around empty flask slots. Charms could theoretically be put in weakened as unique Cluster style jewels with 2 or 3 limit.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.
