fail to see similarities between harvest and loot goblings + wisps. harvest actually required some brain cells to check what mods to block, what you can roll, how best to roll and so on. in fact with the introduction of eldrich mods i doubt reintroducing harvest in its ritual form would have any effect... rolling on some double fracture bases with recombinators looks much more powerful and in general i almost never used influenced items/mods since introduction of eldrich implicit and abundance of fracture bases.

This comment is written from the POV for a brand newbie, who just finished the Acts last week. Feel free to tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about lol.

It's funny that you bring up that many people are experiencing things for the first time and I'm thinking that is what makes it fun for some people. Hopefully, if/when these features go there can be some sort of medium. One thing that I like about the game is its flexibility (so far). Everyone's difficulty level is different.

I happen to enjoy this league, too. But I don't have much to compare it to. I played a few weeks of Harvest, but I didn't finish the Acts.

Actually, the similarity between Harvest and Affliction is that both leagues in their own way give power creep to everyone who wants it, simply, without much effort (and zero brain).
That's why I think that things like this will always remain close to us.
After all, why doesn't POE have "Easy" or "Tourist" or a similar mode for all these years?
It's just that something like that is pointless in the looting arpg features of games like POE.

There is millions of reasons, why it would be bad idea. First - its shortening league lifecycle for most no-life players, who also happen to be the biggest supporters.
If GGG nerf wisps and do this like a new "master" - i will vote for "add to core".

1)New ascendancy is broken,its true,but they are also gives some fun and build flexability which is cool. Like SRS have issue with juice mappging - take charm on occultist explosion - problem solved. Same with charms on manareservation or supress.
2) Playing necro - new corpses are great. THis is probably best league for minions builds

For reduce "juice effect" - GGG can reduce quanity of wisps or make a limite on them(like 500 each type) and reduce price in shop. From this point we still can add some juice on map like Alva on deli maps , but this is not will be OP

And if we do it like master - GGG can add Atlas nodes "incr.chance to meat hunte/warlockr" "more yellow wisps in a cave,less blue/purple" or smt like that.

Harvest during HARVEST league required basically no brain power...apart from strategic usage of area. Ritual Harvest was vastly different from original harvest was, powerful but not NEARLY as powerful or as easy as OG harvest.

They are very similar in that the average player has far greater access to incredibly strong gear. All the issues that GGG had with Harvest would rightly also be with Affliction, and for nearly all the same reasons too. We can see how much GGG HATED what happened with Harvest and they spent nearly 2 full years nerfing it to where it is today. They will NOT repeat the same mistake by making Affliction go core. They already regret it as a LEAGUE mechanic, let alone a core mechanic.

Affliction in current state is clearly not going core.

HOWEVER it is an excellent thing to have in temporary events that last 7 or 10 days.
Those events are discouraging me because I have to start from scratch and beat the campaign (again lol), they are over by the time I reach yellow maps.

With affliction I could blast the campaign with that Oath of the Maji passive and then quickly build up currency with all the juicing.

Can you imagine a 7 day Affliction + Easy OG Harvest Crafting event? That would be kick ASS!
would be nice if the 3 new masters went core. the rugsack is such a nice feature, i would really like it if that went core at least.

with primalistic having nearly 90% usage is quite clear they need to do a balance pass on the new ascendancies before being permanently added.

warlock of the mist sitting at 1% usage is just sad.
