Well, elemental resistances are 86 (+36) for my zombies, and 83 (+24-40) for the others, so I think I'm good on that front?

Their chaos resistance is just the default value; not very easy to get chaos resistance either, from what I can tell. I don't feel like chaos damage was the problem here, though I can't really tell.
