Last Epochs factions will probably put PoEs "friction trading" to shame
It's really not helping anyone discussing over a system that is neither released nor tested yet, otherwise boy do I have a bridge to sell to ya

" Yes you can have both - in theory. However, the devs already said grinding maxlvl for a singular affiliation is going to take a lot of time. Grinding both is likely not doable for normies. The only relevant question is: How many (powerful) items will require very highlvl or maxlvl even in whichever affilition to be usable and how much time does this take? If the devs wanted to, they could easily lock the majority of players out of the best items available because both grinds (highlvl affilition plus either currency or sheer dropluck) is simply out of reach. Its impossible to answer those questions and stuff can always be shuffled around in both directions to make it easier or harder depending on what the devs want. The idea that you could just "easily" obtain all the good stuff is at this point at the very least highly debatable. Last edited by Orbaal#0435 on Jan 12, 2024, 9:46:22 AM

" Hardly - you just get bonuses like 'Enemies have 35% chance of dropping double the amount of items' and such. No guarantee that the extra drops aren't complete garbage. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Jan 12, 2024, 10:35:34 AM

" So it's a variation of what we have in PoE with some altar effects.. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Actually now I looked into a bit more there are some quite cool things like 'T7 affixes are twice as common' or 'Items that would drop as rare have 25% chance to drop as Exalted' so that will directly improve drop quality.
Nothing earth shattering but it looks decent for a filler game. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Jan 12, 2024, 10:45:46 AM

" There are also bonuses that make an item drop exalted, crafting naterias dont be consumed, and hogher chance of items with elavated(i think this is te name )affixes , so, yeah , t does help guarantee better drops, would be like smart loot in poe, but the rares having more chsnce of getting only t1(if it was in poe) , and also one bonus as i said, it's one craf material havinf a chance of not being consumed, would be like, 30% chance of divine orb not being consumed on use, so it actually looks good, but as you said, its no released yet, and will have to see if it actually works Last edited by suriuken#0100 on Jan 12, 2024, 4:52:04 PM

As much as 'owning things' is not an interesting part of this genre to me and so I don't really care about bonuses to item drops, it's nice to see a game doing something in-fiction to make trade not automatically optimal, rather than building outside-the-fiction features to help ensure that it is.

It's innovative for sure, but it's far too early to tell how well it will work. I think it's better to wait and see how it goes before trying to compete with it.
I must say I really do like the idea of being able to SSF without being locked into SSF though. I think there's a lot of cool possibilities there. At the very least I think PoE should have a currency auction house since it's the worst part of trading IMO and shouldn't impact the game negatively. |

"Divines are important for crafting in SSF. "They are. For some builds even a single Divine can be a big upgrade, like those using 'The Porcupine'. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

OP is seriously wrong about drops in SSF....which makes the entire post kinda...wrong.
"On a sidenote: I think SSF in PoE falls apart the very moment a divine orb drops. They are MUCH to rare to actually use for crafting while being much too valuable to let them rot in the inventory." Not even close to how it works....you would use the divine IMMEDIATELY in SSF (if you had an item for it). It holds absolutely NO value except to be used. That is the ENTIRE point of SSF lol. People play SSF because there is NO hoarding: items simply exist to be used. Rarity of the item holds no real meaning, except in the RARE instance where you might want to wait to divine an item until you have more than 1 because if you get unlucky it might brick your build. But as a SSF player, you would never be in that situation in the first place. You talk about SSF like someone who has never actually played anything other than trade. The mentality and gameplay is VERY different...just the mention of "valuable" shows lack of understanding. ***Btw: this thread should not be in the feedback forum. Basically from the 1st post it drifted straight into "discussion" rather than feedback. The only real "feedback" is the choice of title, which itself didn't really relate to the actual post.
