Farming labs for transfigured gems just sucks. Please rethink this.

To answer all of you so far, again. I have been running both uber and merc lab.
As of right now I've received hordes of the wrong variant of the RED gem I'm looking for (red should be easier yet still no dice). I've seen the same duplicate gems using the color options countless times, when the other option wasn't available. Uber also doesn't guarantee that you can get the option to get the gem you want every time. It just makes it more likely and yet still hasn't happened 12 hours later. Not everything in the game is a good idea to be randomized, and playing SSF doesn't mean you have to be treated like a pile of crap for playing the game. I've played SSF for years I understand the grind. This is not it. It's genuinely a bad idea and sucks to grind this crap out just to get the SKILL GEM your build requires to even function at all. Hell I don't even know if the stupid gem will do what I want because I can't even test it yet because I haven't found it. It's not like were farming for some t1 gear or something. We're talking about the skill gem. Yes I know how to farm Goddesses but I don't want to spend hours farming goddesses so that I can then spend hours farming uber lab just to land one stupid skill gem. It would be nice to have a real discussion about this stuff without people being condescending because of OMG SSF bad or whatever bullshit trope comes up, but hey tis the interwebs I guess. The developers made everything rare on purpose with the intent on making you have to engage with a player-driven economy. This, of course, also includes the divine font in labyrinth. Is the trans gem you're looking for difficult? It's because the number of trans gems are bloated (ex. What niche could Crackling Lance of Disintegration or Branching possibly serve?) and the odds are weighed against you, because they want you to either get lucky and find it for selling, or buy it off someone. By opting into SSF, you've forcefully opted yourself out of trade. Nothing else changed about the game. By removing yourself from the player economy, you've handicapped your experience by disabling one of the core features of the game. In a less charitable way, you've pointed a gun down at your foot, deliberately shot it, and now you're complaining about how bad it hurts. What you're providing feedback on is merely a symptom of your decision to handicap yourself. There's definitely an argument to be made that GGG should make an easier SSF mode, though. I've certainly been asking for one for as long as we've had private leagues. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! No SHIT. I think after 6000 people a day say this to everyone that's ever played SSF, we fucking get it dude. I get it. I really do! I understand that SSF is the scum of the earth and whatever. Move on with that shit. The answer to every single discussion cannot possibly be, well MUH SSF bad. That doesn't solve any issues, nor make my concerns any less valid. This is the feedback area I came to leave my feedback. I think it's insane how much you guys are just more concerned with trolling than simply having a real discussion. |

You going to be mad at Minecraft, or the mod? If you have any level of emotional intellect, you'll be...well, mad at the mod...and then stop using the mod and play the game...or find a different one... So...if you don't like SSF, don't play SSF. It's entitled as hell and honestly annoying as shit to constantly hear people demanding change for a game mode that is optional and not the focus of GGG's development (EVER). No one thinks people that play SSF are "scum of the earth"...but playing what is essentially a modded version of the game, that is harder, then complaining about the difficulty is...something else. Note: If you can't functionally play the game without exactly one precise gem, maybe SSF ain't it. |
