I played Shockwave Totem Hierophant and it's pretty clean. Needs some gear to get going, but if you can afford it it's pretty hands-off + you don't have screen clutter
RF is another obvious choice unless you use Celestial RF MTX Bane Occultist is also very clean, altho if you want meaningful single target it comes at a higher investment-point than other builds The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Could be that PoE (and other programs you also had open) were using all of it, so you were starting to hit the disk cache which would tremendously slow down data rates (even on SSD),
could be that you removed the old RAM and the new RAM is just faster, could be that you only had a single stick and weren't benefiting from dual channel ? |

" I have also upgraded my RAM recently and I found that it improved the sound of the game which in turn helped the game run better. ~ I play slowly.

I have 8 GB Ram only.
Before 3.21.2 I played well with 10 open browser tabs nearly all times. Now 3-4 browser tabs (trade!) can be too much and with 6+ game performance drops a lot. So memory is important. These so called "performance patch" and some of the next ones are missing the word "bad". Last edited by Jerexil#5282 on Jan 16, 2024, 10:09:01 PM

BTW, at release, PoE's minimum requirements were 2 Go of RAM (and 0.25 Go of VRAM).

" That was 10 years ago dude lmao. If you need a reminder what the game looked like then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDFO4E5OKSE The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Pretty sure that's on highest graphic settings so your example is irrelevant ?
(And for the highest, this is no D2 => D2R levels of improvement...) Anyway, GGG brought this on themselves when they decided to make the game online-only, and not provide the option to keep playing old versions (see also : the 32bit, DirectX 9 version retirement with version 3.6 in March 2019). If I were one of the early supporters that happened to be stuck on (even more than minimum !) 2013-era hardware for one reason or another, I might legitimately be annoyed with how the patch notes keeping talking about performance improvements, while the actual performance on my hardware is order(s?) of magnitude worse than in 2013 ! |

" The lousy poe2 alpha code wasn't tested back then either. And even Warframe (also bought by Tencent) runs at 120 fps in full group if you hide a new option GFX. and it looks a lot better too. actually much better than windows 95 poe1 engine. So these sausage student devs can learn a lot from their colleagues. if they are even capable of it. |
