My man, you are talking to someone who just came back from a 5ish-year hiatus and is learning all the new shit in real time (RIP Zana). There is a metric fuckton of power on the tree and, therefore, negative need for the Wildwood Ascendancies to exist. There is negative need for the power of Wildwood Ascendancies, and it would be really easy to include most, if not all, of the build-enabling options in the game in other ways.
We all know that most of the league content won't go core anyways. Especially not the giga amount of powers you get from the additional ascendancy trees.
Recombs didn't made it core cause they added a lot of player power.
Small "joke less" Sanctum unique character relics didn't go core cause they added player power. Crucible wep passive didn't went core cause of the same reason. Tota tattoos have the same story. If anything the only things that we likely keep are the league specific unique items.

What did this patch fix? Something that was never broken to begin with?
They sure did "nerf" or better say changed some ascendancy classes while they also added player power in other ways. Made changes sure killed one or another build but also enabled new builds.
Nevertheless even after all the changes the current level of player power is still on a ridiculous level even without the current league's added power. Content gets easily destroyed even on a shoelace budget since leagues and even with all the changes we still gain more and more power.

It's just another league with another level of stupid extra power. Even more crazy than crucible to a degree.
"stolen-power" lol, tell us in what patch this power was stolen, cause there was never a time of pathfinders running around with assassin ascendancy nodes, every ascendancy being able to run around with juggs unbreakable node, everyone being able to be a pathfinder while not even playing pathfinder or any ranger ascendancy. And so many other combinations of just nothing but stupid player power creep.

talking about all the stuff they're taking from our ascendancy's and making us jump through pretty little hoops to get them back, its ok for things to change but i don't want a new hoop every league for the same thing.

they will get rid of them 100%, they haven't let any power curves go core in quite some time. "we still have sanctum!" but we don't have that little trinket...

If you were around back in the olden days of the post-D3-launch beta, you'd remember a time when nerfs happened and remember how the game was better after each major nerf patch. Occasionally a nerf would miss (see also: the life nerf back in 2.something), but for the most part they would move the game from braindead faceroll back to some faceroll but also you kinda have to pay attention occasionally, and over time any rough edges got smoothed out.

still waiting for the compensation to pillar of the caged god when they replaced "Increased Radius of Area Skills" mods with "Increased Area of Effect".

most items that had Increased Radius of Area Skills mods were adjusted over time like carcass jack that went from 20% Increased Radius of Area Skills to 50% Increased Area of Effect but not pillar... years later and still stuck with 1% Increased Area of Effect every 20 int.
