Unpopular Opinion: Remove Private League Migration
TL;DR:
-GGG needs to fix abyss -Private league (stash) migration should not be allowed As the title says, I don't think migrating characters created in a private league over to trade should be allowed. It's very clear people are using this as an exploitative tactic by abusing certain private league modifiers to farm ungodly amounts of sellable gear and currency. It's "private" for a reason. You have modifiers affecting the entirety of the league that you wouldn't otherwise see naturally in the base league, thus you will gain certain advantages not normally found in the base league. If you decide to migrate, if anything, it should go to standard. That, or restrict the stash migration in such a way that, yes, your character can migrate, but your stash will go directly to standard. And, yes, we all know I'm talking about the abyss exploit, among other minor ones. Because that's what they are, exploits. The interactions are not intended as normal practices within the game. I honestly don't have a dog in this fight because I primarily play SSF, and I honestly don't care what the outcome is, but I know scrum tactics when I see them. I have a pretty big distaste for people that abuse and exploit for personal gain. It's the same reason why handfuls of people got banned for exploiting Ultimatum League when it first came out. And then sold merch after a barely thought through apology. GGG will patch it, yes. But this isn't the only league where people have used private leagues as a way to gain advantages once they've migrated. They need to create a long-term solution, like above. Yup. My guess is the standard mule creation with whatever higher level characters doing the farming.
To combat this, another option would be to limit migration until a character reaches a certain level. I'd say lvl 70 would be a good place to start. It may not stop the massive flow, but it'll definitely slow it down. E: apparently they're not using low level mules. Would make sense if they did though. I would suggest that they can only migrate to STD not to the current league.

Yeah, for the top racers and streamers. The general population isn't that fast.
And even if that were true for everyone, the point is having to do it over and over again with multiple mules over time. This takes a booster away from farming, and increases the time between migrations. Putting limits on it doesn't stop it, but it will slow it down. Everyone can do it right now, that's the issue. Once you narrow it down to a few dedicated communities actually willing to exploit like this, then it becomes much easier to pinpoint and manage. |

No, in trade anyone can get to that level that quickly you can set up an infrastructure in a private league. You can set up your own carry service for waypoints and whatever. You can skip quests/lab entirely etc.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Then the solution is simple:
Private league characters can only be migrated to standard. |

Once again proof that simple isn't always good. Or smart.
