Health bars over enemies at all time.
Are you planning to implement this? If not, why?

So long as your mouse is hovering over the enemy the life bar is there 'til they die.
Or are you looking for health bars over ALL enemies on screen the whole time? I imagine a reason not to have that would be because it would make the screen look like a cluttered mess. "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

" The latter, yes. Well it hasn't been a problem in others games, don't see why it would be here. It helps a lot in battles. It would of course be an option. Last edited by testaccio#7173 on Jun 6, 2012, 3:38:07 PM

It might be nice as a turn on/off option in the Options menu. I typically also prefer a health bar at all times over enemies.

I think it's been brought up before, but I can remember any comment by the GGG team. I don't care so long as I can turn it off. I don't want to have so much clutter on the screen, but if people want it, so long as I can turn it off I am happy.

Personally, as a necro, this game is VERY hard to play without enemy health bars, especially given that zombies and skeletons look almost exactly like the enemies I fight. My friend that I play with commented that when he plays with me, it takes 3-4x as long to clear an instance because he finds himself swinging at my summons all the time. Similarly, I can't count the number of times I've thought a fight was over, only to notice "oh hey, I guess there's still a mob somewhere in my pile of 5 zombies and 13 skeletons."
Notwithstanding all these summons, it's a pretty standard feature by now to have health bars, no? Just my 2 cents. |

I spent a good 10 minutes looking for the option to turn enemy health bars on when i first started. Having light sensitive, graphic sensitive eyes make health bars while not a must - a feature that enhances my game play so that i actually enjoy it a bit more. Would love to see this implemented.

" +1 Exactly. Once you have more than 3 or 4 "monsters" in close proximity, the constantly visible health bar becomes pretty much pointless. You just can't tell which health bar belongs to what monster anymore. Looks like someone missed their weekly meeting of Douchebag's Anonymous.

God yes, would kill for having that feature.
Why don't the seasons fear the reaper?

" You bring up a point here which I'd like to address (though it's somewhat off-topic, for which I apologise). Just because a particular feature is "pretty much standard" in the majority of games doesn't mean that it's a good thing. I've read comments related to the fact that humans are the only race and that other games have elves and dwarves and that sort of stuff. Again, it's one of those "pretty much standard" things in other games. Those things (other races, constantly visbile health bar, more inventory space in your stash, etc) don't make those games any better. It doesn't make them anymore unique and it certainly doesn't make them anymore enjoyable. POE has some truly interesting aspects (like the passive skill tree) and it is those things that mke the game great to play. Please, GGG, don't just follow "convention" simply because there are some players who think you should. People who want to play an RGP that follows all of the current "conventions" (many of which are down-right BAD) should look to some current Blizzard titles.
