Scythe's not just a modified axe a real bad ass scythe
Now please don't start with "do we really need this"
that's not the point i want to see how people feel about this so on to business Scythe's the weapon of choice for a reaper melee class a slow moving slow attacking enigma of doom shrouded in shadows slowly but surely raises his dreaded weapon and mows his crying and begging opponents down ruthlessly. my thinking it be slowest 2 hander available with damage similar to a mace crit base of 6% with a special passive of increasing global crit by 40% like daggers so this would be the to go to weapon for a crit based melee character what do you guys think? " I think this is something you want that hasn't had much thought put into it honestly. Sorry, but you asked. "the *go to* weapon for a crit based melee character"... Explain what a Dagger is again? Or a Rapier? I suppose we could use a two handed crit focused weapon but I feel like one already exists and I'm just blanking due to sleep deprivation. I'll let my fellow exiles continue this. |

All games need scythes , it is by far the coolest 2-hander ever wielded as a weapon.
Big basedamage with slow attackspeed and increased range would be an option imo. |

Instead of being DEX/INT, why not being pure int?
... I sense scythe could be better if that provides mana gain on hit/manaleech. Also it would be a reliable choice for every INT class despite how much DEX you have, so templars would take it as well. ... I agree that scythe is cool and could be also added some various passive skill nodes for them. Last edited by PHRandom#0174 on Apr 22, 2013, 10:26:33 AM

Updated.
... A question: Why marauders can't have their own ranged weapon like witches and rangers have? |

" as far as i know we don't have a 2 handed crit weapon sure the staff has a higher crit base then everything else but the staff is more about some form of 2 handed dps and still have a block rate and such my idea was to have a pure crit focused 2handed weapon my original idea was 7% crit base and a crit muliplier of 40% instead of global crit chance but that might be a bit OP and yes we still need a throwing axe for our marauders. |

So a scythe as a two-handed melee stuff that goes critical chance focused.
I sense that having it as DEX/INT puts it on ranger, shadow and witch realms. ... I think it would be better if that stuff goes pure INT so templars doesn't need any DEX to improve it and rangers can't use superior DEX to improve it. I also think that it although may have higher crit chance base, it shouldn't be critical chance based, nor even critical multiplier based. Instead it would be a mana gain on hit or a manaleech weapon, which is unique on game as there's no weapon with that ability yet on game and it comes handy for casters in general. And a good scythe would allow good skillgems for it, examples are viper strike, sweep and puncture. ... And its a 2 handed weapon. ... Last edited by PHRandom#0174 on Apr 22, 2013, 6:40:48 PM

" i was thinking that and although i like the idea (i would prefer mana on hit so it also aplies to spells) this would quite quickly make mana nodes and such obsolete it be a litle to powerfull being able to spam skills as if you have eldritch battery. |
