I love new Grand Heists

I agree. I love the fact I can just buy blueprints in bulk, not reveal and run them for the same profit as people bulk revealing gems. I buy 1-2 divines worth of blueprints every so often and just run them for fun now, I don't feel the pressure of needing to fully spec out my rogues and go full harvest because you don't need reveals anymore.

I just casually looked for a simpelx amulet on trade cause the pob recommends it and i thought, well cool i can roll it myself, a little gamba. loool the prices, i mean it's probably very rare, but how can you complain if you have a chance at jackpots like that...

Heist looks like it's still in a great spot.

No one said Heist is in a bad spot per se. Also, that argument is kind of horrible. If hunting jackpots would be what everyone wants, everybody would be playing MF Crimson Temples and waiting for that Apothecary. But I bet that a lot of people, myself included, value constant returns rather than a one-time big payout. Hence I love Invitation-Farming paired with Essences for example - 30-40c value from each map, very little spikes in eigher direction. Heist was before somewhere in between. U had a few blueprints with bad rewards, but eventually you will hit something valuable. Now Heist is still very solid, one might say even better due to the changes to GCPs - like, whoever runs their blueprints for currency-rewards without a chaos-div trinket did not watch the market. GCP´s are like 2.2c - 2.5c in bulk and those RAIN from Gem-Reward chests.

But it feels still kind of bad to be in the last room and just seeing the same overall 5 replicas. Like, I cant recall how many Twyzels, Doedres Tamings, Karui Wards or Prismweaves I saw. It´s annoying and it feels like not even worth it to discover the last room. A stack of 20 Vaals or 16 Chaos is nice, and I´ll take it over those Replicas, but the value shifted very substantially from the reward room to the chests ahead of it.
I have mixed views on it as a Heist main.

Having the random reward types at the end is good in principle, because it means that there aren't entire categories of blueprints that aren't worth running any more. It's a slight disadvantage to the strategy overall, because you can't target farm trinkets early in the league, but it was probably overpowered in prior leagues anyway, so that's no big deal.

The only reason I don't have a positive view of the change is that although it's still fairly rewarding, the reward distribution now feels horrible compared to the past. In most cases, there's no point at all going to the final room - all you'll get are 3 worthless replicas, a badly rolled rare, and 18 binding orbs. About 90% of the profit i've made from heists this league have been from small chests/div card rooms, and almost none from the final reward room. That makes it feel pretty rubbish, overall - if there's some way to move some of the reward value back into the actual end room of the content, that would be better.

I have probably done 50 or so wings and I'd say less than 10 of them was my reward less than the cost of the blueprint. One replica Farruls that sold for 7div after 6 linking. A few 1 divine rares, a bunch of 30-60c bases like the overload sceptre. I'd say 10 of them were just flat out stacks of 15-20 chaos. I haven't bought any in a bit, but I was buying them in bulk on TFT for 10c and it was easy profit.

It's not as profitable as just bulk running Gem blueprints was, but IMO the QoL of just buying random prints is worth it.

I've done about 300 wings at this point - agreed, the end reward often (not always, for example today I had 20 straight wings where the best reward was 18 orbs of regret) exceeds the cost of a blueprint, but that's not my point.

I'd say my average reward from a heist wing end chest is 17-20c, but I'll easily get 30-35 stacked decks/10-30c from div card/currency rooms and small chests on the way. That doesn't feel great to me, because it means in a lot of cases the optimal strategy is to ignore the end room and just grab 1/2 more reward rooms. I'd estimate roughly that I only open maybe 40-50% of end room chests at this point.

So yeah, mixed feelings, there's good and bad for me, but overall I probably won't run the mechanic anywhere near as much as I used to.
The biggest problem I see now is that some replica items come repeated on the wings, if GGG changes this it will help a lot, especially in SSF
Hi
Sry, but Heist is simply dead with economy.
After annihilation of diver/anormal/phantasm/ gems etc.; it's no equal recompensation.
And you should remember that during a Heist , you was able to find a proper an enchantment on helmet.
Finally , it's a next step to turnoff an " old " mechanism like Heist to introduce a new system of playing -PoE 2.

Hello!

Just taking the time to say I love the new generic un-specialized Grand Heists. Oftentimes I would only seek 1 type of blueprint and the rest were wasting in my locker. Now, every blueprint has a chance of giving something that I want or need.

Thanks!

Also many thanks for making good rewards not dependent on one particular tileset. Some skills don't "see" dormant robots and for that reason I took Repository/Tunnels off my filter. Now I don't have to run the robot gauntlet to get experimented trash.

Played just a bit this league, what happened with the old alt gems, converted to normal gems or deleted?
