Repeated Client Crash - Affliction League

My client has locked up at least 20 times since Afflication league start. It completely freezes everything being displayed on the same monitor as the game is being played. (I run 2). I have never had this problem ever before since playing PoE. I cannot provide repeatable or recognizable steps other than this: It happens only upon loading into any main town of an Act. I have to use task manager every time to force close PoE. Only then can I use other applications on that monitor. I have tried changing the display to Windowed, Fullscreen, and Fullscreen Windowed, and the same lock happens. There is no predictive indicators to let me know when this will occur.

Ive been getting hard crashed out also, i very rarely complain or post anything and i been in since beta

This is me today as well. I'm constantly getting corrupt file crash even though I've done a full re-install and deleted temp files.

It's only happening during scene transitions for me.

I also did a complete uninstall and reinstall. I've been logged in for about 30 minutes, and my client has locked and crashed 3 times. Every time when I go back to town... any town... I have tried to complete the Solaris Temple and have had to redo the same floor 3 times now and still am not complete, because when I go back to town to empty my inventory items, I can't because of the freaking client crash... which means, I will now have to do it... again...

****PS. I've crashed 3 times since this original post at (5:16PM server time). I'm still in Act 8. I went back to town to empty my inventory, right outside the portal in the Lunaris Temple. And BAM... CRASH. I can't finish due to crashing over and over again. Losing my portals. Having to run maps repeatedly. Actually afraid to pick up loot because if I go back to town, facing an imminent crash.

I don't understand how a perennial game like this is having so many issues. I am beginning to feel like I should go back to playing Diablo 4 again... and that's not because I want to.

Hi, it seems that this league has started with the wrong foot as it seems, aloot of crashes is very small say to put it.

I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled back and update everything to date still same amount of crashes .

How ever i also watched streamers and it seems that they dont have this problem ,so good game GGG keep it up.

The game works only for streamers and everyone else gets the crashes let them enjoy the christmas holiday ..riiight ..ooh but its only 12/12/2023 so what is going to happen to everyone else till christmas is on?? no more PoE for everyone else??

The crashes and loading screens in PoE in 2023 is EMBARRASSING !!!


FIX THIS!!!! AND DO IT FAST !!! STOP BEEING LAZY!!!

I've reinstalled both Steam and the standalone client multiple times.
Drivers and Windows all up to date.
Immediately when I log in my GPU utilization goes to 100% and stays there.
I get 30-50 FPS.
I'm running a 4070.

Game keeps crashing, specifically while in town.
I was finally starting to get into PoE after bouncing off of it like a dozen times. I'm starting to think they really just don't want me to play the game lol.

Same experience with a 4090 ... I can't even play the game

I am having the same issues, It has crashed on me more than a dozen times this weekend, of those times they all happened in towns with only one happening while actually fighting. My FPS is not dropping and am using a 4090, but like others have mentioned, as soon as I enter town my GPU utilization goes to 100% and max temps.

Everything is up-to-date on my PC, GPU, Steam etc. I did not have this issue before Affliction, I started back in Sanctum and it has ran perfectly until now. I want to say I really didn't have this issue last weekend. It started maybe last Wednesday.

Done all the same things, I run a i7 9700k OC to 4.9ghz and a 3080 rtx, this OC on my CPU has been stable for years and this league im still crashing back-to-back to back. Sometimes it fully locks my pc up and I have to force restart it, a lot of the times it's just crash to desktop. I've done nearly everything, to reinstall main client switching to steam deleting cache. It seems to be a shader issue because before I even deleted my shader files my shaders would max out and I would crash to desktop.

verry same issue , around me in ma guild everyone strrugle, also streamers doesn't seem to have same issue, we need a solution fast please GGG

all crashes same problem , I closed the Game Bar process, doesn't help.
