RUTHLESS: GCP Vendor Recipe

The whole point of ruthless is to starve you of gear/currency. Wouldnt count on them changing this.

While that is true, it's not black and white.
Many people wanted the game to be harder and like Ruthless... except for some points THEY feel should be handled differently.

Many people wanted a slower game.
So in Ruthless they first removed ALL movement skills and later added one Ruthless only movement skill that is more or less useless. Frostblink is great compared to that.
The problem is, for many people that was overkill (me included) - because it also removes some otherwise interesting skills that also move you.
They also gutted Quicksilver Flasks to 2s duration.

People wanted a harder game.
So in ruthless they took away about everything helpful and even things considered not helpful by non-ruthless players.

No access to Support Gems:
You have to find those - and while it was fine, IMO, in PoE way back, it is overly punishing in Ruthless when you pair it with severely reduced drops of everything.

No access to reservation auras including heralds:
Like support gems, you can only find those.

Bad quest rewards:
While in non-ruthless mode the rare item quest rewards are hardly worth looking at, they could have kinda shone in Ruthless. However, in Ruthless they aren't rare, they are mostly magic items. So useless most of the time, too.

No recipes:
Not only does currency not drop, you can't make it, either. While I've heard many times that doing the chaos recipe isn't worth it, you can't even do it in Ruthless, where it would come in handy - and not be OP because stuff for the recipe doesn't drop like it does in non-ruthless.

Gutted vendor prices:
Selling gear for shards? You mostly get transmutation shards, no alt shards and very rarely alch shards. So even if you find a usable base item, you've got limited options to actually make it usable.

League mechanics receive the same treatment.
In Sanctum I was very disappointed to complete a room just to find... NOTHING at all. Even some alt or trans shards would have been great. Or one meager Orb of Alteration.

So on the one hand I like Ruthless. Not being showered in stuff makes actually finding something good so much more rewarding.
But in my opinion, the combination of all of the above makes it too unenjoyable.
I didn't play ToTA much because again, the mechanic was harder and less rewarding,so why bother?
So first I thought I'd just get to maps and map a bit - but I didn't manage to kill General Adus in Act IX. So I just quit the league because it was nearly over anyway.

I guess many people think that the base idea of Ruthless is great - but everyone probably has a few points they'd like to be changed.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if several of the things I've mentioned above would stay in the game. But the combination of all of them...
Too ruthless for me.

I want game mode where item drops are very rare but all items are Smart Loot.

Will play only it if GGG make it.
I'm not a ruthless player, I think it's a pretty piss poor mode that isn't really fun.

BUT

them letting ruthless players have things they need to use skills is probably a good suggestion, maybe they can introduce some method to quality gems without prisms, some sort of league crafting device, kirac quest reward, labyrinth altar thing. Whatever.

The discrimination to ruthless players is evident. Clearly proof of a toxic community.

So if the majority of people disagree with your feedback that makes them part of a toxic community?

Or is it that you're the toxic one when you lash out and call everyone who does not agree with you toxic?

Also you claim that this is feedback and you posted it in general discussion instead of posting in feedback.

Ruthless has no separate forum section because it would be a barren wasteland.

Same way SSF does not get their own forum section, same way Softcore or Hardcore don't get their own. It's enough that they get their own trade subforums (from a time where most trade was forum based).

Asking ggg to create and maintain yet another forum section is the most entitled thing I've seen in a long while on these forums.

From someone claiming to be discriminated it sounds to me like you want more "rights" than the other players get. Someone mentioned reddit ruthless. There's currently 4.4 k members on that sub as opposed to 591 k on the main PoE reddit.

Imagine ggg focusing on addressing the concerns of 4k people instead of 591 k.

Sure qol never hurt nobody but then again if ggg were to cave in and give what you're proposing to ruthless players imagine the uproar from anybody that wants divine orb shards in standard/league.

Who are the majority of players, players who play regular mode and go into such topics to mock, throw out their hatred and stroke their ego?

You made a big deal out of nothing, the person simply asked if there was a separate thread for Ruthless on the forum, he dont wrote that he necessarily need a separate topic. But for some reason, regular mode players are starting to take this personally, they also cant ignore it and leave comments like “you play on Ruthless, thats why you should suffer and dont have right to vote”, very informative, thank you.

I am a Ruthless player and rather do not support adding a recipe to the GCP, even Alch + SupGem is too easy. Maybe Alch + 3 SupGems will be good. So you either play on one build and exchange all unnecessary Support Gems, or store them in the hope of transferring to another build, sounds fair.

GGG also wrote that in this Ruthless league, chances of currency drop have been slightly increased, and perhaps significantly + they can increasing the chances of GCP, for example, in Ultimatum or Labyrinth. This is the thing about Ruthless, that you have to choose which stone you want to strengthen.

No, they are toxic because they want to be and the toxic ones are pretty much always the same.
I wish I could have an ignore user in the forum to avoid some people.

I don’t even play Ruthless and think that there should be another vendor recipe for that… although not abundant currency, maybe 1 chaos for 1 GCP or something like that.

The first two replies are not feedback. They are just mockery.

Post was made in general discussion and was moved to feedback because it did not belong in general discussion. By that time several people including me replied to it.

People mocking op did that because he posted in general discussion and not in feedback as he claims his post to be. Else the post would have died at 5 views and no replies as most posts in feedback do.

Guy wrote that he as a ruthless player is discriminated against because he does not have his own little corner on the forums to "stroke his ego" as Teret3 puts it.

People have a thing against ruthless for the same reasons they had a thing against the console port.

In their vision developing ruthless took away resources from the development of PoE and they were uncomfortable with the fact that the money they spent supporting the game was used to develop a mode they don't care about or wish to ever play.

Same way a part of the community lashed out when PoE2 was announced.

I must admit it's quite admirable of you two that you can pick and choose which statements you want to address.

Guess thats why you both ignored the posting in the wrong section (which attracted the response it got), the discrimination part (ELM when?) and chose to side with op in calling out fouls from the "toxic community".

Lets be honest, definitely not because of this, they just hate Ruthless and everything connected with it, including the Ruthless community.

Its not true, here is his message about discrimination verbatim:
"It is a problem to like ruthless mode and provide feedback and ideas to make it better? The discrimination to ruthless players is evident. Clearly proof of a toxic community."

He talks about discrimination towards Ruthless players due to the fact that he simply expressed his opinion on improving the mode, and the well-meaning guys from the regular mode wrote through mocks that he has no right to be dissatisfied and make suggestions.

The reason is obvious, but what does this have to do with Ruthless players, who play the mode they like and try to improve it? The question is rhetorical.
Yes, there are very few Ruthless players, but they also spend money on the game, but they cant express their opinions on the game? I think we can allow them to make their suggestions to improve their mode, what do you think? The question is rhetorical.

What did I ignore? I chose statements that are important, that the person made a mistake and posted his post in the wrong section, is this his crime? Is this the main justification for such toxic behavior? Regular players also create feedback posts in this section, but I didn’t see any toxicity in their address. To find fault with this is simply absurd.

What? I simply wrote the unpleasant truth that Ruthless players are constantly subjected to hate and bullying, this is simply a fact and there is no justification for this. Be human.

For the last time. Guy posted in general what should have been posted in feedback and was upset when the feedback he got was negative.

If any of the replies were toxic you could have reported them and they would have been moderated by the forum mods.

I don't think you know what rhetorical means, do you? (this is rhetorical)

Also this conversation is derailing the thread so be human and let it die as it should.
