Does this tincture only work with the weapon, or actually with ALL damage, like spells?
Many weapon mods can apply to spells as well.
Usually if it is local, it specifies unless it falls under something modifying base damage. For instance, the dagger that poisons everything does not say "All damage can poison", it says "All damage with hits from this weapon can poison". I suspect if tinctures were local, it would use the similar language. No way to know though. |

I am currently trying it with the wand Attack Kinetic bolt and the tincture appears to have no effect. There is no visual change to the wands like the content reveal video from GGG would suggest. Nor have I noticed the effects of the tincture (in this case it was the poison one.) After having it toggled on for 30 mins i never saw a single poison status effect. Should I chuck this in the "doesn't work" pile? Or is this possibly just an error in execution?
Any feedback is welcome. |

" Even if you have a thing like "any dmg can poison" you still need the poison chance to actually poison. |

Ah.
So what would be an application of this that's different then normal attacks with on hit proc chances? If I add a Poison support gem it would do the same without the unique ascendency. I guess, "What's special about it?" I've got a good amount of hours in PoE, but please dumb it down for me. Last edited by FluffyDaxxy#1877 on Dec 11, 2023, 1:03:01 AM

Normally only physical and chaos dmg can poison.
With the tincture any dmg type can do it. |
