Lack of responce on ban questions

Hello,

My main account has recently been banned for some reason I do not know, I've written to GGG about this, and within 5 minutes, I got a response asking for account details, I gave those and there has now been radio silence for the past 2 days. What time frame can I expect on this? I have absolutely no clue why my account got banned.

Unfortunately this is not something we are able to discuss via the forums. If you have already sent us an email regarding this one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
But what is the usual response time for these requests? As said I got the first email within a few minutes which is great, but then I've just heard nothing, not even "we've received your email and will be back within x days" or anything.
If they had to ask your account details, it was probably banned automatically, without a human involved, so they have no idea why it happened themselves until they investigate :)

To the moderators, I did say "probably", please don't ban me.

It's called a queue and you are in one, you just need to wait your turn like everyone else.

There is no "usual response time" it is literally down to how many ticket they need to process...it can go up to a month though it has not been that high for years.

Incorrect, the request for account details is a security step that almost everyone has to go through, not just for bans but other account related things.

I remember, but for me this practice was inconsistent. Back when I still tried to appeal to support (yeah, naive :)) they didn't always ask account details. And when they did, benefit was questionable to begin with.

If account is public, everyone knows your "a few character names". If account is private but they see you writing from same email as account email, it should already serve as verification, because even if email was stolen, the thief is already in position to change password, login to the website and learn account details anyway.

please let us know if you get a reply, I'm in the exact same situation.

Will do that, I can't help but laugh a bit at the situation here, where GGG has done EXACTLY the same thing, replied quickly on the first post, and then completely ignored it from there.

To me it seems like they are being measured on the first response but not follow-up, which is why it's being so heavily prioritized.

I'm not sure on how the priority works, I'm also confused as to why my forum post was deleted (similar to yours) but yours and others are fine to post....

I hope you/we get unbanned, this is so frustrating.
So I got an update this morning, from a GGG employee who apparently didn't read my actual email.

My first email:
"
I've just received a ban notice on my account, I was wondering why?
As far as I know, I've done nothing to breach the TOS.

His reply:
"
I'm very sorry but your account has been permanently banned for breaching our Terms of Use.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

This is quite obviously not actually a reply since I already stated that I could see my account was banned but without any reason.

Will keep you guys updated.
