Poison Reap Pathfinder [solved]

Just saw a vid about the build and wanted to try it out.

After watching this, i struggle to believe he plays this manually without makros.


1. He runs Elemental weakness + Assasins mark + Despair, all non automated.
(i dont see any curse limit upgrades, so i dont get in the first place.)

2. The curses wont work every time bc of the life flask mod.
Remove 10% of life recovered from mana when used.
And he spams it every 1-2 seconds.

3. Manually activating Divine Blessing timed Hatred every 18-20 seconds.
Without incoming damage and flask usage he has only 375 shield to use.
So as soon as he uses the flask he has not enough mana.
He can activate it upfront, but surely cant do it consistant in combat.

4. And not once in the video i saw im activate it. Its also not on his 1st layer button layout. So there is a lot of downtime.

Can someone explain to me how that works?
Or is this just a makro as i assumed?

I have no doubt he does it all manually. You should see them when slams were meta--they got nerfed because players like Ben can do a rotation of like 11-12 buttons without missing.

1) Looks to me like is just leveling despair and elemental weakness. There would be no point for the latter anyway since he only does chaos damage and he doesn't have any additional curses on his gear/tree. Assassins mark seems to be his actual curse.

2) and 3) He is using eldritch battery so he is paying his mana cost with energy shield. I haven't tried it but based on the wording i'd assume that the life flask mod to remove mana simply does nothing as he has no mana and it's not a cost. ES recharge does not get interrupted or delayed if you use ES to pay skill costs so he can spend the ES on hatred and be back to full ES in a few seconds. He needs to stop attacking/using other skills to activate it though.

4) He is probably activating it with ctrl + hotkey combination. This is Darkee we are talking about. If there are players who have no need for macros, then he would be one of them.

Yes I know he is good, that's why I watch his videos.
But it's not like there's never been a top player who uses everything to his advantage.
Allowed or not. Especially when it comes to money and fame.


But it was not my point to accuse him of cheating.
I just wanted to understand.
I always assume i miss a thing in this game.

Just realized he uses balance of terror so that's the reason for ele weakness and despair. The first gives added damage and the second provides withered. Both just by being cast, they don't have to actually apply a curse.

But how does he use them without overwriting Assasins Mark?
He has to use them always in order, right?
Assasins mark first, then the other ones and that combo every 10 seconds.

He doesn't cast those curses on the monsters. He just casts them into thin air. You don't need to target someone for balance of terror to work, you just need to have casted it.

So he has to use them every 10 seconds, then marking rare or unqiues on demand, spamming his flask every 1-2 seconds, activating the Devine Blessing Aura, his attack & moving skill.

Thats insane.
And literally the reason why macros where invented.


Speaking of that... i know double action macros are not allowed.
What about timed single button macros that take place one after the other?

The life flask lasts 5 seconds so he only has use it every 5 seconds, not every 1-2. His utility flasks are automated. He needs to start them at the beginning of a map and that's it. As for the 3 curses and hatred, yeah if he wants to maximize dps he needs to cast them but with his DPS being what it is it's doubtful he has any need for that outside of deep delve/ubers/simulacrums and even then, it's one rotation every 10 seconds. Even if he has a few seconds downtime, it doesn't really matter.

As far as i am aware, any macro that simulates player input is banable. I wouldn't try it if i were you.
