Cross trading Policy between HC trade and Standard
|
GGG knows how this works. They intend it as such. This is the mechanics of the game. Calling it an exploit is quite silly, in my opinion. The currency and items stay in standard. The items are in standard, the currency is in standard - and both remain there.
This is a black letter legal game mechanic. What boggles my mind is why anyone would care. This is not a pvp game. You are not getting killed out of your maps by players with a dps edge you can't get. It smack's of pure envy to be honest. You can pay a premium to get items early, or you can wait 3 months and get them vastly cheaper. |

" Its definitely an exploit that is carried out in Hardcore-Trade which affects Standard and Standard-Trade both. People can pay the same premiums at the exact same time like everyone else fair and square for their better or worse items, Temp leagues and then items are ported to standard as per usual By fixing this exploit it also makes possible pathways into hardcore-trade and the final destination if you should die being standard-trade, hardcore-trade engagement goes up almost as a direct result because more people will be willing to try it. What is called an "exploit" here simply is not. Ripping in HC makes carried items go to standard. That is how it is intended therfore no exploit. And infact its a good thing for standard players. Plus its good for HC players because this creates the intent to play HC and revives the otherwise dead HC eco and dead HC league.
I just checked Keystone Tattoo prices in HC they are dirt cheap why are you guys complaining they cost 5-6 times as much in the std eco from ripped HC players? Last edited by zzang#1847 on Oct 1, 2023, 3:58:54 AM

I genuinely don't get the core complaint of this thread. Is this someone complaining that their SC Challenge League items aren't worth as much once they migrate to standard as equivalent items from HC Challenge Leagues, because the HC players get to move their items over sooner?
Because if that's really what's going on we're like... 4 layers deep into "complaining about absolute nonsense." |

Everything should be deleted at the end of the league. No going to standard, no migration, no currency, no price fixing, no nothing. It’s over? It’s gone.
You want good things in standard? Go play standard. Every problem would be solved and the “we need to be careful not to ruin standard’s economy” problem that CW has would be non existent. These are temporary leagues so treat them as such. |

" To be honest it exactly sounds like this. |

" Sounds that way here too... |

" This is not an exploit - this functionality is working exactly as it is programmed and designed to... ...are we being trolled here? Last edited by Sabranic_SilverDeth#2793 on Oct 1, 2023, 5:03:38 AM

Of course GGG intented for it to be this way, lmao. It's not an exploit its just an obvious loophole that GGG itself chose to overlook years ago because they had to make the decision to port dead characters to standard instead of SC trade because Hc and SC used to have different leagues and they didnt want them to influence each other, which isn't a thing anymore for the past 8 years or so?
So based on their own justification, dead characters would have to go past temporary sc trade before reaching standard by the end of the league since we don't have different leagues anymore, which one of the solution that were proposed here already. There were points during the league that we had more Locks being listed on standard than in hc trade. As soon as crafters started offering absurds amounts of money in standard, the price of the lock double by price at around sept 5th and then doubled again at sept 25th when a couple of these rich players quit the league and cashed out everything into locks to standard. At any point of the league if you wanted to use more than one lock for a single craft it was such a hassle to even buy one that was being listed for 30%+ markup just because it was the only one listed at a time. Items go to Standard after 3 months from softcore and we want that to be the same from hc. (or just deleted, since its hardcore) It's unfair to compete with standard for premium items and its bad for the hc economy (and great for Standard, which is why some people refuse to agree with this). |

Lol standard trade. Something that's pretty much already a big mess anyways. Not like the few early league items make much of a difference in this dead graveyard.
Items and currency have literally 0 value in standard anyways. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid#4643 on Oct 1, 2023, 5:28:04 AM
