from rank 90 to 1000 I've gotten over 10 divines and many more items worth 50 divines total

And I've gotten a total of 7 divines and 0 items that sell for anything when getting 2 characters to rank 400 and 500. It's bad.

I don't sell anything in bulk. Too much work and effort to use tft or 3rd party websites. All my scarabs,essences and bubblegum currency rot in my stash tab every league. And I have a tab full of tattoos that are 3 chaos, maybe 1 of them is like 20-50c but too lazy to list when its not even a few divines. Can't relate.

I don't know, I just get shitty tattoos like stun threshold or something every round lol. I've only gotten my main character to 500 ranking when I stopped after being done with 40/40 then leveled a void sphere cheese character and got him up to 400. The most expensive tattoo I saw was the +1 dex gems one which wasn't even that much. I even 3-to-1 vendored all my bad tattoos and still got bad ones back.

the better tattoos drop on the later rounds and drop from specific chieftains only or from end of tournament extra rewards

Well I never really paid attention to which tribe I was fighting, I just went for whoever gave me the most favor/the best reward on my main. Then on the cheese character I always eliminated kahutora or whatever titanic shell guy's name is and Ikiaho's tribe early in the tournament because those 2 are annoying af to fight. Can't really target-farm tribes if certain ones will softlock you or make the games take 30 minutes. Yeah replying is weird and sometimes the quote button doesn't even work the first time you click it. Jankiest forum I've used.
