TOTA is a great mechanic

...or would be, because :

- Quickly in lower ranks (250), enemies are very tanky, deal tons of damage, and move very fast
- Also the respawn is very fast
- Random one-shot from nowhere, sometimes the boss not even targeting you (Kahuturoa), sometimes even a trash mob
- NPC always have something to say, commenting each fight
- NPC shouting at each other, forcing me to reduce the dialogue volume to zero
- The announcer shouting
- Even with the dialogue volume to zero, bosses in fight are really loud
- AI is bugged, while enemies are on steroids, our mobs wander or fire their spells, but if there is a totem between them and the enemies ... they don't move and just fire at the totem (which does nothing)
- Having to move between each NPC and not buying with a shortcut button, like the one showing the favors

I hope I forgot nothing.
I also hope people will understand the point I am trying to make.

Yeah this league was extremely undercooked and poorly implemented, from the UI to the gameplay. The only people playing at rank 2000 are using cheese strats to completely ignore the enemies and win that way with literal 1 hp 0 dps builds that spam cc and run around.

Once man's cheese is another man's Icespear.

Based on the fact that there is no death penalty, and that the enemies call out their attacks and focus on area denial attacks, the intent appears that you are more of a team coach than a genocide artisan.

Once you start playing to the mechanic - the same way you would any other aspect of the game - it becomes great fun. Even at 2000 we're discovering new strats - go-go team pig flankers!

We talked it over in vent the other night, and this is our favorite league since Legacy. It's nice to have something really different and refreshing from the normal way PoE is played.

You keep using the same arguments, and they are all invalid. You're wrong, most people know this league is shit.

The fact that you dislike my arguments does not make them invalid. None of the people I play with or talk to dislike the league.

In fact, this is the most active the guild has been in several years. A lot of guys came back from Diablo and DAoC to play this league.

Funny you say that, because my guild has already stopped playing pretty much. Most of my active buddies play the game... But ignore TOTA mechanic.

I think GGG shot themselves in the foot with 3.22.1 where they decided to ramp up difficulty with chieftan AI update, adding warrior AI buggs in the process and doubling? tripling? down on turtle shielding. All of that made the overall experience quite unbearable tbf.

I want to have fun in it.. But it's just not... anymore.
Ok, I've been learning a cheesy strat, and since then I win all the time (so far).

The strat is the opposite of what we do usually in game : running like a coward and avoiding fights, and channel a bit of a totem before being targeted.

Well, maybe it suits minions players :D
u forgot to mention Titanic Shells that respawn 4s after their death, and i have maybe 20 others stupid exemple like this.

Trial of the Unfair is the worst thing ever created.
Personaly, i get to find my useful way to deal with the league and im making some easy progres. Still that: Kahuturua is either bugged AF or overtuned AF. Nother than that... the lague is not that bad.

PD:

* Shelly turtle its still unnecesarely OP
* AGAIN. KAhuturoa OP AF (NERF IT FFs)
* If i have to get into rank 1500+ to get a divine as a reward the league is AT LEAST not rewarding enough (tattoos are cool but not valuable enough, maybe buff them ?)
*AGAIN Kahuturoua PO AF NERF HIM FFs.

That's it.
play as cc and flanker you can't win high ranking with dps unless you do like 500m dps
