dawnload the game?????

Personally, I don't think that it's that big of a deal answering questions that can be found on the site. I suppose they could make a stick thread that holds all of the info in the FAQ, maybe that would make it more obvious.

As Zidjian said, if it bothers you then don't read/post in the thread. We're trying to build a game community here, I don't think trying to make new members to the forums feel stupid is a good way to go about it.

ya i am all for voting the threads up and down. That way only active threads will be on the front page.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.
I think it's funny how hypocritical all of you are when you're just bitching about how people need to read the FAQs and so on, when really you're doing the same thing they are: clogging up the forums with unnecessary fetid shit.
Septile. you sir, are right. +10 points.

But we're not making thirty unnecessary new threads. It's a big difference because that's what this is all about.. To call it hypocritical is to completely misuse the word.

They can ask all the redundant and stupid questions they want and I won't care as long as they keep it in a single thread.

No it is hypocritical because it's accomplishing the same thing: worthless posts that don't need to exist. It is hypocritical to bitch about needless threads when you are posting needless posts in said threads.
If instead, you were to just ignore the unnecessary and redundant threads, they would quickly plunge into the abyss and we can all pretend to be one big happy monster killing loot collecting family. But no, for every 30 unnecessary threads there has to be 50 unnecessary posts per thread.

You can't forget, English is not always the native language of the people who come here, sometimes it's just easier to ask than it is to search through the entire website looking for the answer. While it would be nice if they could just look before they post, you're expecting too much from them. I don't know if you've noticed, but many ARPG fans tend to be very lacking in the logic department.

Shh they are afraid that people will post 150 posts of quality to have a better chance to get in the beta, like they do them selves :P
Wait why would post count matter to get into the beta. Lol i could do like 300 posts in a day.

Maybe we could vote threads up and down? There could be a relatively simple algorithm that determines how quickly a thread leaves the front page that includes the time since last post, frequency of posts, and vote score.

That way crappy threads wouldn't bump more interesting threads off the front page and the crappy threads would leave the front page much more quickly. Once threads were off the front page, the system would go back to a chronological display so that it'd be easier to find older threads in the archives.

As much as you want this to be Reddit, it isn't. ;)
