This league is unbalanced and dead, because of AI interactions and poor planning by devs

People are doing 1,hp builds for ToTa cause everything will hitkill you anyway so why bother with defense?

Dude litteraly made a build for it and is very surprised he is not having trouble. Some of us don´t want to stash items for every mechanic in the game, or respec or change gems etc. Thats what i said about wasting time. Is this ARPG or not?

Some of you made my point exactly, we can't do damage. So when our AI bugs, and I know for sure it's not just me, we get slaughtered. It needs to be better balanced. I'm playing a tanky doomblast build. I shouldn't get slapped down instantly by everything. Yes, I'm aware of the builds made specifically for the league that have come out, but the pigeonhole loop continues and we can't just play what we want. I made it to rank 1k or so, so it's not like I don't understand the mechanic, it's just problematic.

Breach, Abyss, Legion, Delirium, Incursion, Blight, Beyond, Harbinger, Essence, Domination, Ambush, Heist, Bestiary, Delve, Ritual, Expedition. Goodness forbid GGG tries to be a little bit more original with their game design by introducing new mechanics to the game in an isolated feature for players who might want to take a break from the countless ways to commit mass genocide for the seratonin rush of picking up a single shiny in an ocean of shit drops. Just because a league came out that you don't like, it doesn't mean GGG is suddenly going down a path of failure. You just don't like it, and that's fine. Not every league has to be for you. And no, I don't like TotA either for the reason you described earlier in your OP that your gameplay boils down to being a distraction against the enemy team. And that's fine, I have Sanctum to engross myself with and am having the absolute best time in my life right now. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. It's truly not, I'm no where near the only one who feels this way. The game is getting further and further away from what it was, console is dwindling, further and further, the complaints are the same across the board. I did, give credit where the game is still amazing, but it's problems keep compounding. I've played for years, perhaps that's the problem, because I know where we started. Players are consistently fed up with various issues. I know of dozens of people, entire clans that have just left in the past few leagues. Hey, if you don't have problems with the mechanic, congratulations, you are in the minority, the rest of us are hit with constant bugs since the most recent patch.
Literally, my flankers won't even try to attack totems, they'll just stand in my base sometimes, while my defenders, usually tide callers and spear fishers, won't even try to defend. The reason I'm irritated, is that when this happens, we're screwed, we can't do damage to defend, and cannot possibly get all the enemy totems by ourselves. |

Trials seem to force really specific setups that attempt to ignore monsters instead of kill them.
While novel, it shouldn't be the "meta" way because it actively punishes players for playing a "normal" build. When people talk about a build being a mapping or bossing build, most of the time it can do either just fine. Truals also introduced the most unbalanced enemies the game has seen. One shots start before red maps. They have more effective health then normal pinnacle bosses, and gatekeep rewards. They don't drop loot but allow access to a chest with kind of lackluster rewards dependent on rng. If your build can do them faster then you get more attempts. It is just a bad league design wise. Lore is interesting. The gameplay stinks. If poe2 is going to be like this, you are going to lose the majority of players. The absolute worse decision is making it so players can't choose their rank. How did they forget? Why? It isn't something you really naturally adapt to. So many monsters offscreen it isn't even funny. |
