That's great animation. Probably not a series, maybe not even an OVA. Movie? If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I haven't seen the anime, but I've been following the manga for a while, so recognised it anyway. It's Shingeki no Kyojin. The offical english title is "Attack on Titan", but from what I understand it's actually supposed to mean something closer to "Attack of the Titans" (as in, the titans/giants are attacking, not being attacked).
I can't speak to the anime, but the manga is decidedly dark and creepy at times. Some of the art of the giants eating people is extremely detailed, and the giants are human looking enough that seeing them eat smaller people with big smiles on their faces is really creepy, while being oddly proportioned enough that they also get a bit of an 'uncanny valley' effect, making them creepy in another way on top of that. Attack on Titan would have been my first guess, considering the buzz around for it.
And yes, Shingeki no Kyojin is more like 'attack/advance of the giants'. also, wowfuck. It's a full series. 25 episodes. That's quite a budget. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

One of the most hyped up anime series of the year. Already seen two episode, and I am already hooked to its brutality............and plot. :3

And if you guys like dark and mature animes i suggest you check out puella magi madoka magica There is a series and two movies wich are in fact the series split in to two movies and a third movie coming out this year with a new story. The anime is really good and many reviews and sites named it one of the best anime series of 2012. Peace "May those who accept their fate be granted happiness.

" I never took Puella Magi Madoka Magica seriously, that series was one of giant cesspool of wdf and do I want to know. Overall, it was a very entertaining series. Also, the series came out at the start of 2011, so I am not sure how it got to be one of the best of 2012? The series ended just around the spring of 2011. Either way, back to the topic, I cannot wait for episode 3 this weekend. :) Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.
