League mechanic too hard

Its completly overtuned, aiming to be played by the top 1% of the playerbase yet again. Why?

I literally just run into a brickwall and basically can not play the mechanic anymore. Once the enemy becomes too strong, you are stuck. there is no derank, there is nothing i can do.

Its insanely boring to be oneshotted of screen or stun locked every 10 seconds. Enemy units are literally 500 x stronger and better than own units, why?

Its not tactical, its just boring and punishing in my eyes.


At least make it like delve, where THE PLAYER CAN DECIDE on which level he wants to play. Why is it not possible in Ancestors? Im basically stuck at 450 and cant play the league mechanic anymore unless i reroll to a new character.

You’re not playing it correctly.

Past a certain rank and ignoring specialized builds that cheese it, this league is not about your build. It’s about your team composition and your positioning. You don’t engage the enemy directly, you bait them out of position so your well composed team can dismantle their totems without getting interrupted. Do a good job and rounds will end in your favor very fast. Do a bad job and you’ll get killed, your totem will be channeled, and everything will fall apart.

Something is not to hard just because one, ten, hundred or more than thousand cant "complete it". You will hit that wall in Delve one time or another. This game is not designed for all players to "finish" it. There are Life is Strange for those - A fantastic game!

Put focus on something else, after a while, hopefully you got an idea, go back try it. Make a new decision after that.

See the whole game as 50 lines that all goes from 0-100. If around 100 000 players play it, maybe the number 50 000 reach 55 or so in all of these. But one person (you for exsample) will be 88 000 in one mechanic, 62 000 in another and maybe 12 000 in the next. If all players was above 55 in everything, then maybe number 50 000 will be 72 instead. If we keep pushing this will it be "fun"? Succeed without any real challenges? Win because the opponent had to leave or had to play that tennis game with a broken racket?

If that mechanic was the only thing and was the whole game it would have been built different I guess. But with all possiblities? I totally understand we all prefer different things, but I think a lot hasn't thought enought of the complexability.

There are so many paths, choices to make and randomness ... I think you would write and say the same wherever you get in that mechanic. And at one point it would fall over and you wouild say, this is to easy, "I want a challange".

Could there be any truth in it? What do you want they should change? Details if you have time and effort. You are also aware of peole who has thought the game was to hard and died to Hillock? Would you like if those said, this game is to hard, without tactics and complained "I cant beat Hillock, you need to nerf everything".

I wish a lot of people could put some thoughts about it.

So the player is supposed to be a decoy totem? Yeah that sounds like a load of fun... not. If that is the way to "correctly" play the mechanic it needs to be heavily corrected itself. The mechanic was fun for me until after 500 rating when more and more monsters become able to 1 shot you. Loads of things need to be nerfed hard, or we should have the ability to choose what ranking we'd like to play at.
I still don't quite get it sadly... was hoping this would be a nice SSF mechanic with the choice of rewards but I can barely win anything or it just takes way to much time to get something small.

I literally stopped mid tournament to take a break, gained like 30 levels got 3x the damage I had. Came back and still almost lost... I don't get why enemies don't take damage half the time or just get to channel without interruption. Or why my defenders can't stop 1 guy forcing me to just play defense most of the time hoping my flankers can get the job done.

I feel like my team just doesn't do anything. But I'm willing to awknowledge that perhaps I just need to learn the units better and pick the types and have them in the right spots.

Did you watch the video? Nowhere in his demonstration does it suggest you need TShot or a facemelting build to complete the league content. Literally the dude gets 1shot if something sneezes on him. And no, he doesn't instakill the enemy either.

The league literally requires a 600 ms build to perform past level 500

Just like heist. Just like delve.

It almost like we are getting punished for not equipping a bow or a wand and not stacking one stat. But game developers would never do that.

Mechanics wise it could be one of the best leagues ever, but I guess when you have a vision you just have to make it a reality.
I feel the same the league mechanic is over-tuned. I know how to play & honestly it's just not fun at all. Don't get me wrong it's great for loot, but super frustrating with the constant freezes, stuns, 1-shots etc. and if you have to take control away from the player it's probably not a good mechanic.
