Linux Proton - Lighting effects not present

After the engine patch in Linux shadows and other global illumination fails to render. The game looks like it did in 2013. Currently using Proton experimental on Pop-OS 22.4 with AMD grpahics 6700XT.

It actually miss everything in graphic options. The only thing I can change is resolution, renderer and vsync.
Changing anything else has no effect but on top of that performance is not present, I have to force 1280x720 to play more or less stable in the campaign(!)
Does not matter if it's GE Proton or auto or latest.
Also executable launches with --nopatch flag which I did not set.
Also executable is not x64 (on both windows and linux), altho maybe it's intended.
Did updates on everything I could, tried to disable c-states, deleting caches for gpu, game and steam, disabling precaching - nothing helps.
Changing renderer to dx results in more fps while doing nothing but is not possible to play due to stuttering, switching back to Vulkan makes fps in Vulkan a bit higher than before switching to dx.

It's so messed up.

Can at least partially confirm this bug.

No shadows on Linux as of last patch, and the settings don't seem to help any. Doesn't look too great.

Arch, Wine Proton 8 (and Staging 8.14, same problem), AMD 6600

As to the settings having no effect, I get FPS differences when toggling things, but I cannot say I can see a difference on the screen.

In addition, maybe related, sometimes when creating a new character the scene is black, as if someone turned off the lights. UI renders, can click the characters, but can't see them. Haven't figured out exactly what and why, logging in on a character and back out sometimes fixes it.

Edit: Looking at the performance problems other people are having, I guess we're getting off lightly with the game just looking a bit worse over here, huh?

I am running Manjaro with KDE, using a 6.1.44 kernel on a Ryzen 9 7950X and an nVidia 4070Ti. 64 GB RAM. I use a fiber Internet connection.

Using Steam with Proton Experimental.

I see character shadows and lighting effects.

Frame rate is good, no stuttering so far. My major complaint is that the cpu via top (nice is at normal settings) is being hammered - I've seen 180+ percent cpu use. This happens when I am in the hideout.

Did a quick test here, after downloading the patch (I never play on PC any more), and it seemed to work well. It was using Vulkan in settings I noticed (but low settings due to shit PC).

Had the game installed using Heroic Launcher, as I have sometimes have better luck with that than Lutris or 'normal' Wine.
So 2 of 2 No-Shadows on AMD GPU, 1 of 1 Yes-Shadows on NVIDIA?

Anyone else chime in to pad out the statistics?

I can confirm this graphical bug. It was working before and I have tested that shadows are not present after the patch. Using AMD 6600 on Arch Linux 6.4.12.

Most noticable place is on Karui Shores. Compared it with Windows and it's pretty jarring with no shadows

Literally my case -> https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3418368
I wonder can it be that client tries to stream some shaders or textures but can't do it, so he tries again and again, it results in high load and lack of these effects. Due to not enough privileges or unavailable address where these effects are located. But for standalone this address is different or idk.

Still not fixed btw as well as performance
I have the problem on Arch Linux:

Ryzen 5600X - AMD RX 6800
vulkan
Samsung 970 EVO NVME SSD

I tried :
- Mesa 23.1.5, 23.1.6 and 23.3.0
- Kernel 6.4.12 and 6.5.1
- wine 8.15 and Wine-GE 8.14

**** Update ****
If I create a new windows prefix and use directX11, i have shadows and GI.
Although with slow shader generation and not very good performance.
