BG3 vs POE 3.22 ?
" Being it good old BG true engine system then yes.. Because you wouldn't spend hours of slowly getting trough fights and map because there wouldn't need wait on some "turns" >.> |

" I don't mind the turn based game mode. Hell, back in Baldurs Gate I basically played the fights in turn base, because I paused every few seconds before I made a move... that felt way more clunky than a real turn base mode for me. But if that's what keeps u from playing an otherwise superb game, well so be it. |

I would have very much liked a Divinity Original Sin 3. A lot of players have mentioned that BG3 just feels like a reskin of DOS3. While DOS2 was a vastly improved game over DOS1, it felt weird (Lucian a villain?) at times. DOS1 felt old school and modern at the same time while doing things very differently and letting you get creative.

Different genre. Nothing to compare.

Not sure how much overlap poe and bg3 have, but I just finished act 1 in BG3(has 3 acts and first is smallest). I won't finish before league launch but I will probably play league at a later day. Might be the perfect opportunity to try SSF for first time, player numbers and economy are irrelevant in this mode and SSF could force me to finally learn crafting. Only crafted maps and flasks until now.
Other relative popular games also launched in august and we get starfield later. BUT very few people play multiple playthrough in RPG, those players will come back. |

BG3 is a game without FOMO, league start hype or an active guild discord, meaning I can save it for a rainy day. Looking forward to it.
I will be playing 3.22. I'm not really overwhelmed by the changes, and would like some (read: A lot) more melee love than we got. But for the first time in a long time, I'm actually intrigued by the league mechanics themselves. We'll see how it goes, I don't really have a ton of spare time these days. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" As a former TFT lover I'm excited aswell, but at the same time... we all know how such gimmicky mechanics turned out in PoE in the past. They had a cool idea in mind, but it either didn't work in an ARPG setting (like Heist) or it was just a gimmick and everyone just overwhelmed the mechanic at some point without much interaction (blight). I really hope GGG is proving me wrong tho! |

" They better, I have been specifically posting on this mechanic and others for years now telling them they need to add some more casual-themed content into the game not only for more casual skill levels but just to DE-STRESS after long grinds or as an alternative part of ones rotation. People ridiculed those threads sometimes, what now? is all i can say. Innocence forgives you

I agree but I don't see how they can balance the mechanic in a way that it's not going to be completely broken at some point.
Everytime our character takes part in a mechanic like that it's inherent, that some builds are much better at it than others and that also kinda implies, that the mechanic itself can't have too much impact on the outcome, if that makes sense. I'm happy they implemented that new Atlas Keystone for Blight now, because that's exactly how Blight should have been from the beginning, in my honest opinion. They just would have to make it different instead of cramping it in every map u run. Maybe this new mechanic has something like that inherently, where ur gear/build doesn't matter and u're only doing damage to those enemies/totems based on what u chose beforehand... I don't know tho, I think that goes against GGGs design philosophy. |
