Sanctum coming back is great but why not sanctified relics?
I'm glad there will be new content for Standard to play soon with Sanctum for once but I don't understand why sanctified relics would not make a comeback.
What incentive would we have to run the content other than that 1 OP ring that we can potentially get? It offers the same type of currency rewards as if you were to run maps but maps you can run faster and with more varied content inside of the map. With Heist for instance at least there was incentive because of the different types of gear, gems, etc. that you can get. The sanctified relics was the only aspect that made it interesting to strive for in Sanctums but we're not getting it back so I really don't get the point. It's new content at least but it's just weird not having that aspect to it. Balance the sanctified relics so that it gives some small bonus at least if you think it's too OP. From my experience in Sanctum league, sanctified relics were hot garbage.
Extra 18-33 fire damage on spells? 8-12% mana recovery rate? Elemental ailment avoidance chance? Worthless. That's on par with finding T8 mods on ilvl 84 gear. Full runs giving 2+ divines and a bunch of currency consistently? Now that's what I thought made it worth running. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! Trust me, everyone in ssf is jumping for joy. you could pretty much guarantee between 2 full sanctum runs to at least get 2-5 divines. and sometimes get 4-8

Of course they will nerf the rewards quite a lot especially because you get an entire sanctum floor in one item. Not to mention sanctum is going to be a hell lot easier with the resolve change. But honestly that's fine cause the only interesting items are the sanctum uniques anyways, unless they also nerf them to the ground.

With the amount of time you spend in a full sanctum run i doubt they have to nerf the rewards. They nerf rewards that are basically just spend 10s a map doing something then you get free currency. Expedition hasn't really been nerfed. I don't really notice heist being nerfed either. Delve is also still strong. Idk what you're talking about nerfed into the ground honestly. Other than stuff that is op or unfun. Nem 3 farming wasn't fun, neither was boss rushing.

" The removal isnt based on people with shit relics, the top end of relics is always what will be expected in terms of what the slot represents. Free keystone and the ilvl gated high end modifiers, max resists, charges, additional strike, exposure. Harvest wasnt retooled so many times because people were crafting crude bows and glass shanks. |
