So who's brave enough to leaguestart with chieftain or guardian?

I need to see patch notes really. But I planning on reaper or absol gaurd or totem chieftan. Depends what the minions do, and what tahwoa does.

So many more low power choices honestly. Like I dunno who would use tuhokohama now.

I'll likely play guardian since well, it's usually what I do for dom blow, I dread it though, without onslaught to get me moving....

That new summon better be uber innocence or they should dock the pay of the staff who came up with unscalable summons as ascendancy nodes.

REMOVE duration on links ffs, if you want anyone to use it past a joke that it IS make in on and off.

Chieftain is powerhouse, clueless exiles!

Go bonk 2x ascendancy and smash acts ez pez.
Get to maps smash ez use infernal cry on strongboxes and league mechanics to clear.
Get to t16 respec to strike skill like lighting strike.
Stand some distance away from boss so ancestrall call strikes it + my initial lighting strike hits it for double damage.

does what we suspect to be calculating resist to negative, but not giving enemy it's positive resistance bonuses, making the node 30-90% more dmg depending on mobs 30-90% fire resist.

Then ignite chieftain, pizza blast, lighting warp, arctic armour etc gonna be pretty HOT!

As a long time Chieftain addict, I'm losing hope of making any
non measurable build work for Chieftain in red maps(actually, I don't think Chieftain will even pass T10 maps without expensive gear, gl farming with this quarter of an ascendancy).
The problem is the new Chieftain notables:
- have no synergy
- raw single line/effect => very weak and uninteresting

Anyway, I may try to league start a melee Chieftain and hope it will be fun, if it sux then it will be easy quit, because I'm not very exited about this league.

I need to see patch notes if something juicy stands out. I played old chieftain, the new one "might" be better for SSF slams. A free fist of war and very high max res is spicey for SSF.

I also kind of want to do something new this league as I always league start slayer for so many years now. I kind of feel like doing something new.

Chieftain HC SSF Ruthless Sunder slamboy start. I will take two notables for resists and Tawhoa (only 6 ascendancies on Ruthless). Build is basically the same as for my 3.21 Jugger.

Waiting for the patchnotes, hope for some slam buffs BlessRNG!

I can see minions working on guardian. Some kinda of crit spectres+buffed AG. The regen rate would help keeping both alive, to use a link. ES and block based. Minion builds usually need quite some sockets, at least one cluster. If the tree reach a lucky supress, is probably better than cap spell block. Spell block is too expensive in points. Lucky supress is... Lucky supress.

Chieftain is more tricky. I would say, the only way to go is melee. And go for the resistances nodes after. Strike ones. Played with fist of war before, not really that usefull. But free ancestral call helps clearing. Bone shatter, Dual strike or Glacial hammer looks cool. The last two are strong, but not always have enough range. At least is something.

There's no bravery needed to pick a class in a videogame folks. You can't really even lose at Path of Exile, just win a little slower than you might otherwise. Yes I'll play Chieftain to start, then Guardian.
