Troubleshooting missing .DLL Files. GGG Are we loosing support for W8 OS and older?

After talking to a friend much smarter then me he said that this Error.



Is because we are not running w10+ and that 1-1-x is w7 and 1-2-x is w10

If This is true is this maybe a mistake on the part of GGG or are we slowly loosing support for DX11/w8 and older OS.

Going through the forum it seams like these problems like the .DLL missing and lagg / memory leaks are mostly w7 users.


I would really like to know so i can make plans before the next League.

They're not going to fix it, so it's likely support for Windows 7 and 8 has been removed and will be officially announced that it's being removed for PoE 2.

microsoft pulled the plug for W8.1 in january

so yes

non-GGG issue if something important is missing from your OS

It's not an Issue per se but it be nice to be told if that is the case.

I was curious and tried to find the official minimum specs for the game now and could not locate it on the GGG site. However, on the PoE Steam page it now states that Windows 10 is indeed the minimum.

i find that strange because i tested it with steam and did not get that error.
