Will 3.22 be the last league in POE1?

While GGG are stretching the leagues ahead of ExileCon, do you have a feeling that 3.22 will be the last league for PoE1? And it will go until the new year (so its 5 and half months), and PoE2 will be released on New Year's holidays? But in the interval (end of autumn), we will have time to play beta. These are just my wet fantasies, but judging by how GGG likes to fit into deadlines and all sorts of holidays, I dare to assume that PoE2 will be released on New Year's holidays.

I would say we might get patch 4.0 with the winter league or early 2024. They already have a beta up for Pax and gamescon so I don't see a reason why the release should be even further in 2024.
Eater and exarch. Don't think we get any new endgame content pre 4.0. The large core support packs already came out a while ago and didn't introduced any new bosses, doubt that's going to change with 3.22 giving how busy ggg is with patch 4.0 and exilecon Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

I think 3.22 will be the last. Last time GGG did exilecon, they said it was a huge undertaking and would only do it again if there was something big to announce. Beta/release next year doesn’t really feel big enough. I think it’s likely that beta will start by October with a full release at the end of the year. My more outlandish ideas about what could happen at exilecon involve GGG announcing a new game set in the same world as path of exile(this would also be big enough to justify another con).
I’m thinking we’ll see something similar to the 3.0 release with 3.22 being a “legacy” league that maybe lasts a bit longer than normal and beta running during the league. I think an endgame revamp is also possible in 3.22 but I don’t expect one in 4.0. |

Given that bex specifically went out of her way to quash any speculation on PoE2 arriving any time in the foreseeable future, do not expect it before 2025 at the earliest. 2026 or even 2027 are also possible. Not sure why they're holding an ExileCon if they have no intention of launching beta testing or releasing the game for several years yet, but here we are.

Hmmm, 5.5 months for 3.22 league is not outside the realm of possibility if GGG wants to get POE 2 out by the end of the year. We already had 4 month leagues twice in a row.
Maybe GGG saw how half baked Diablo 4 was and decided that they could do better by the end of year. Gutting Gameplay Gradually

There's a playable demo during PAX and Gamescon. Demos are not betas. Remember, they had a playable demo four years ago at ExileCon the First, too.
